You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
Some people love walking into a gym with a plan and getting to work. Others want a coach in their corner, someone to answer questions, adjust programming, and help them keep making progress.
At Iron Soul Gym, you can do either.
We’re a 24/7 open gym where you can train independently, and we also have a team of experienced coaches who offer one-on-one coaching and small-group strength training.
Every coach brings a different background and specialty, but we all believe the same thing: strength training should be approachable, effective, and welcoming.
So if you’ve been thinking about getting started - or want to take your training to the next level - come in and meet our coaches. One of them just might be the right fit for you.

We’re excited to welcome a new coach to the Iron Soul team!
Nate Beck Nate Beck is both a Strongman Coach and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. He’s passionate about making strongman and strength training accessible to everyone... not just the people who think picking up big stones sounds like a good weekend.
Whether your goal is to get stronger, throw sandbags and kegs around, or just become the person everyone calls when it’s time to move a couch, Nate will help you get there. He works with clients of all experience levels and believes strength training should be challenging, approachable, and a lot of fun.
Please join us in welcoming Nate as our newest coach. And then go ask him to teach you how to carry the yoke or pick up a stone. He is ready to help!

This one was in high demand! So here it is - the Inverse Leg Curl, or also called an Assisted Nordic Curl machine.
Nordic curls are one of the hardest bodyweight hamstring exercises out there. Most people can’t do one through a full range of motion the first time they try... and that’s exactly why this machine exists.
The counterweight system lets you use as much assistance (weight) as you need so you can control the movement, build strength, and gradually reduce the assistance over time.
If you’re trying it for the first time, do us all a favor and start with more assistance than you think you need. A good starting point is to set the counterweight around your bodyweight. From there, you can reduce the weight to find the assistance you need.
Trust us... it’s a much better way to learn than falling straight toward the floor!!
You can also adjust the upper arm up & down to better fit your body and change the actual angle of the arm to better fine-tune how much assistance the machine provides... like more at just the bottom, or all the way through the full range.
Everyone wants some strong hammies. They help with so many things and this is one of the BEST tools we have to train them.
So - now that Melton Bookie Morehead has shown you how to use it... who’s giving it a try?

Iron Soul showed up in a big way at the Powerlifting America New Mexico meet this past weekend! Athletes, coaches, loaders (University of New Mexico Powerlifting!), handlers, and friends all supporting one another was a powerful reminder of what we’re building here.
Yes, we love strength sports and yes we have many powerlifters. But what really matters to us is movement, growth, and community. When you join Iron Soul, you’re not just joining a gym. You’re becoming part of a group of people who believe everyone deserves strength, support, and a place to belong.
Whether you train at Iron Soul, another gym, at home, or are just getting started, we’ll always support people who are choosing to move, challenge themselves, and grow.
Thank you to everyone who represented Iron Soul this weekend and to everyone who helps make this community stronger every day!

Rows are one of the best exercises you can do! But they’re also easy to turn into a whole-body movement.
That’s where the seal row bench comes in.
By supporting your chest, it lets you focus on your upper back instead of using momentum or worrying about holding your body in position.
Use it to build your lats, upper back, rear shoulders, and add in the pulling strength you need for carrying, climbing, and just moving through life!
You won’t find a sea of machines at Iron Soul, but you WILL find the equipment you need to train every major movement pattern. In lots of ways.
So... have you actually used this bench, or has it mostly been a table for your water bottle and stuff?
What piece of equipment should we cover next? Let us know in the comments!

There are exercises you like... and then there are Bulgarian split squats.
Love them or hate them, they’re a really effective way to build single-leg strength. Also called rear-foot-elevated split squats.
And this adjustable stand makes them just a little easier to set up. You can adjust the pad to the right height and focus on the movement instead of trying to make a bench work.
PLUS - a small adjustment in your body position can change what you’re working.
💥 Stay more upright and you’ll get more quads.
💥 Lean forward a bit and you’ll get more glutes.
Same exercise. Same tool. Different focus.
That’s why we like having specialty equipment around the gym. Sometimes the right tool gives you more options without changing the exercise itself.
We have two of these stands, one on each side of the gym. Feel free to move one wherever you need it on each side - just put it back when you’re done.
Team split squats or team absolutely not? Let us know in the comments.
