Whether it's swinging on swings, hanging from the monkey bars, or rolling down a big, grassy hill, kids LOVE to move! And that's a good thing because through movement, their brains take in and organize all types of sensory input. This information tells them where their bodies are in space, how tightly their muscles are contracting, and how fast they are pumping on the swings. All of this feedback to the brain helps to further organize and refine their sensory systems as well as improve their motor skills. So even in these cold, winter months, keep movement a priority!
