Last night, our Westgate Major All-Stars showed incredible heart and determination, battling their way to an 8-6 victory over the Gallup All-Stars in a nail-biting showdown! 💙⚾ Every player left it all on the field, proving that this team never quits.

After fighting their way through the losers bracket, the journey continues tonight as Westgate takes on the Yucca All-Stars in the first championship game.

🏆 Here’s what’s at stake:
Westgate must hand Yucca its first loss of the tournament to force the winner-take-all IF Game tomorrow for the District Championship!

🥎Westgate Minor SB All-Stars🥎

What a tremendous run by our Westgate Little League Minor All-Star Team at the 2026 New Mexico District 9 Tournament!

This group came out ready to compete, showing grit, determination, and teamwork every step of the way. They dominated in several games throughout the tournament, proving they could compete with anyone on the field. Their hard work, preparation, and never-give-up attitude were on full display as they battled through a tough bracket and represented Westgate with pride.

While their tournament journey ultimately came to an end before reaching the championship game, the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story. These young ladies demonstrated sportsmanship, resilience, and heart—qualities that matter far beyond softball. They faced challenges, celebrated victories, learned from setbacks, and continued to fight until the final out.

To our players: thank you for giving it your all and wearing the Westgate name proudly. To the coaches, families, and supporters: thank you for the countless hours, encouragement, and dedication that made this season possible.

The future is bright for these talented softball players, and Westgate Little League couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented our league, our community, and each other.
