Albany Chess Center’s Intermediate Chess Class is for students who understand the fundamentals of chess and are ready to develop their skills further.

Students work on tactics, strategy, calculation, game analysis, and practical play while building toward more competitive chess.

ONLINE CHESS LESSONS WITH GRANDMASTER MIKHAIL GOLUBEV

Take your chess training further with online private lessons from Grandmaster Viktor Golubev through Albany Chess Center.

Lessons can focus on opening preparation, tactics, positional understanding, calculation, game analysis, and tournament preparation.

Work directly with an experienced Grandmaster and receive instruction based on your level and areas for improvement.

Students can join us online for chess instruction, practice, and games from home.

CHESS EVALUATION LESSON

Not sure which chess class is the right fit for your child?

Albany Chess Center offers a one-hour Evaluation Lesson to help us understand your child’s current chess level and recommend the appropriate class or learning path.

During the lesson, we assess the student’s understanding of chess, practical play, strengths, and areas that need improvement.
