Mike Fox – BBI member since 1983 and graduate of North High School.

After an unexpected health problem that left him in the hospital for several weeks – that was his wake-up call to “get his body in order”. His junior year of high school he entered the North High’s football program. As a Senior, he became a varsity star and 1984 Beacon Journal’s All-City team recipient.

Mike played defensive line in the NFL for nine seasons (1990-98), five with the New York Giants and four with the Carolina Panthers. He won a Super Bowl with the Giants as a rookie as a 2nd round draft pick from West Virginia University.

He was inducted into the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame October of 2025.

Mike attributes the start of his career training at BBI.

Everyone at BBI is saddened to hear the news about fellow bodybuilder, Mike Ocepek who tragically passed away last week.

Mike was a member of BBI from 1995-2007.
