Atlético Madrid have made it clear that they have no intention of selling Julián Álvarez to Barcelona.

An Atlético spokesman said the club believes it is the main victim of the situation and claims that the pressure surrounding the player has caused the club both financial and reputational damage.

The club insists that this is not about money, but about dignity, and says a campaign containing “lies and half-truths” has been created against Atlético.

According to SER, Atlético are now preparing to take the next step in their legal case against Barcelona. The club is expected to present evidence about the alleged pressure placed on Julián Álvarez by Barça.
