SS EngineSports

We are a family drag race team. We created this page for all of our family, friends, and fans to hav We love to compete and spend time together out at the track.

Our two main drivers are Darrel Saxby in his 1966 Chevelle “The Green Eyed Lady” and sometimes his 1968 Camaro “Sharkie” and Hailey Sandeno in her 1964 Chevelle “Fancy”. Our Crew members are Cheryl Saxby, Robert Sandeno, Rachel Saxby and Emily Eye. Every now and then our crew members make a few passes down the track too, because how could they resist! Darrel has been drag racing since he was tall enough to see over the steering wheel. To say that he has an obsession with drag racing is an understatement. It truly runs through his veins and is on his mind at all times. His biggest accomplishment so far was in 2010 when he won the NHRA Northwest Nationals in Super Street. He mostly races locally at Spokane County raceway now in the Super Pro class. Hailey has been out at the track her whole life watching her dad race and started racing herself in 2011. She ran in the Sportsman class at Spokane County Raceway and this year has decided to step up into the Pro class. Her biggest accomplishment so far was winning the track championship in the Sportsman class in 2014. We created this page for all of our family, friends, and fans to have a place to go to keep up on the season. We appreciate everyone’s support and would love to see you all out at the track!

🔥$15 admission Friday night, racing starts at 6pm
🔥$35 admission Saturday, racing starts at 10am and will run into the night!
*kids 12 and under are free!
Come on out and watch us bracket race in between the alcohol, nitro and jet cars!

Qlispé Raceway Park will have a limited schedule of racing beginning April 2022. Then strap in for a full season of drag-strip and road-course races in 2023, with the return of Top Fuel/Top Alcohol Dragsters, Nitro/Blown Alcohol Funny Cars, Jet Cars and Wheel-standers.
