Re Boot Fitness

Re Boot Fitness Cross Training, Run & Triathlon Training, & Health Coaching for Lifestyle Change. ReBoot Fitness is the perfect way to kick up your work out routine.

ReBoot Fitness offers challenging, total body, cross training program that focuses on your cardiovascular health, muscle strength, agility, and endurance. The classes are varied and use a variety of techniques, very simple equipment and even the local landscape for cardio exercises such as running hills and sprints plus strengthening such as push-ups, lunges, squats, and pull-ups. The classes offer not only total body work but also camaraderie among fellow "boot campers." ReBoot Fitness is a great way to get in shape and change your entire attitude about exercise. We are outdoors 90% of the time so dress in layers, bring water, a towel, and free weights (3-8 Lbs for women; 8-12 lbs for men). In addition we offer Speciality Training Clinics for Tough Mudder type races, triathlons, and running. Small group fitness options, have a group of friends with a common goal, we can customize your fitness to fit your groups goal. NEW: We are also offering health coaching for lifestyle change. So many Americans desire to reach better health and wellness but end up in a cycle of starting out with ambitious goals only to slip back into old patterns of unhealthy behavior. With 75% of all health care costs going to the treatment of chronic disease we all need guidance, planning, accountability, support and motivation to achieve a more balanced healthy lifestyle. The CDC reports that many chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, cancer and metabolic syndrome can be prevented or managed by eating a healthier diet, increasing physical activity, managing stress and changing behaviors. We will work on goal setting, self monitoring, nutritional & calorie expenditure needs, independent exercise programming, belief systems, setting up positive environments, motivation & adherence. REBOOT VISION STATEMENT

I believe that we are all athletes no matter our fitness level. I believe that deep down we all have a sense of adventure and desire to be healthy and fit. I envision creating a sense of community among my students. I believe in providing skills, tools and guidance to my students so they can continue to grow and try new challenges. I will bring these beliefs to life by listening, having patience, showing compassion, pushing my students when they need pushing, being honest and accountable. I envision my passion and enthusiasm for living a healthy, active, and meaningful life to motivate and positively affect my student’s lives not for the short term but for the rest of their lives.

Discipline feels heavy for an hour, regrets feel heavy for years. Pick your weight.

When you create a routine for yourself not I may go but it’s part of my day it’s much easier to be consistent each week.

Plus a good mix in your training can make the non exercise activities much more enjoyable.

Stop saying tomorrow show up today!

My goal is to educate you based on what has been studied.

Some trends are not based on the average person so look a little deeper before jumping on board.

Today & all month we will work hills, stairs & jumping.

Those hills are important:

• it can improve running form
• strength the lower body which are muscles you need to recruit for running
• works your fast twitch muscles which in turn can help you run faster overall
• increases your cardiovascular endurance

So you may not love them but the hard work brings you better results when you may want it.

And as the trend goes..kind of chic to know actually what foods give you what you need.

The team has been reporting in on what they think they know stay tuned on how they did.

New month new focus. We will be working those stairs this month!

My team has already seen it last night at Integrated Fitness we ran stairs & tonight at run club we ran bleachers & hills.

I’ll be talking more about the benefits but to start it’s about improving balance & stability!

More on the why throughout the month.

P.S. stairs I climbed in the Almafi Coast, Italia

Sunday check in & focus of the month wrap up!

The old adage you can’t out exercise a poor diet still holds true, what we don’t know makes it hard to know how better your energy can be if you eat cleaner & time your meals well.

Every healthy choice you make is another opportunity for progress.

Every person you connect with & train with is another opportunity for better health.

Show up, vary your training, connect with others, meet like minded peeps & life will reward you.

Friday Farmers Market finds:

Nothing really new, except my black raspberries are back, stocking up so I have some during Winter.

What I do want to say is the more we can eat foods on a spectrum with these foods (real) being most of the time, some more processed foods sometimes & the joy foods at limited times the better our health & that energy we have been looking at all month will be.

If you can move on this spectrum then counting calories isn’t really necessary.

As I say a lot eat real food.

Month’s end performance week & our winning combos shown here.

It’s about showing up more than you call out, it’s making the most of your time when you are there & it’s just having the discipline on the days when you’re mood is fighting you to not show up.

My regulars consistently show up & that’s the key to being able to move well & not constantly struggle when they are in class.

It’s not that they aren’t challenged but they’ve got the drive to do the work.
