616 Bicycle Fabrication We’re a bicycle fabricator with decades of experience building fat-tire, mountain & tandem bikes. 616 is the area code for West Michigan. See you on the trail.

We chose this as part of our name because of our love of the area, the local riders, and to honor such a great place that holds bicycling so highly regarded. This area is also the birth place of two cult like bicycle companies who have been in business for decades, Slingshot Bicycle Co. and Nukeproof Mountain Bikes. In July of 2011, the former owners of these two companies joined forces to bring the best custom hand built bicycles and hubs to the biking industry, and 616 Fabrication was born. Here at 616 everything we produce is manufactured right in our facility or locally made. Our goal is to utilize the best resources, people, and talent that West Michigan has to offer in an effort to produce some of the most progressive, detailed, and best riding hand built custom bicycles and hubs on the market today.

I built this 32er gravel/urban cruiser for a customer in Oklahoma the build consists of a modified Müenzie frame a segmented fork hoppy moto bar 616 one off stem and beautiful hand built wheelset from Velocity USA. I look forward to posting the finished product soon. I hammered this kit out just before our month long trip to California and hand delivered it along the way. The customer requested Clear over raw on everything. Here some pics of the process. I wish I would have taken more pictures of this beautiful unique kit.

Well I built a new 32er today to replace the one I sold yesterday so here is my new whip. No 3rd tube to leave Max space for a frame bag I will likely paint this one on the next rainy day. Shorter chain stays. Didn’t feel like taking a link out. This one is a 68° head angle apposed to the 66°. Plenty of toe room.
Vinny can’t wait to go cruising. Stay tuned.
