For more than 25 years, JCWA has worked to protect and conserve the Jacobs Creek Watershed through environmental education, water quality monitoring, watershed restoration, recreation, community clean-ups, and conservation projects. We cannot do this work without the support of our community. That is why we are asking you to become a JCWA member. From (tomorrow) August 14th through September 21st, 2026 we are encouraging new members and former members to join JCWA and get involved in our work happening throughout the watershed. As a special thank you for joining us during our membership campaign, every new or returning member will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards!

Here’s how YOU can participate: Become a new JCWA member or rejoin JCWA if you have been an inactive member.

Four winners will be randomly selected on September 23rd, 2026 to receive a $25 VISA gift card. But more importantly, your membership helps make our work possible! Your support helps JCWA provide environmental education programs, water-quality monitoring, watershed restoration projects, community clean-ups, outdoor recreation opportunities, and conservation programs throughout the Jacobs Creek Watershed. Whether you enjoy spending time on the water, hiking local trails, fishing, hunting, learning about the environment, or simply want to protect the place we call home, your membership makes a difference.

A Note From the Director

Summer has barely begun, and I’ve already heard from many tiers and Symposium regulars asking about this year’s International Fly Tying Symposium dates.

Many of you are already requesting vacation time, making travel plans, and simply wanting reassurance that the Symposium will return for its 35th year.

The reason I haven’t announced details sooner is that we’ve been working through an unexpected challenge.

A few weeks ago, I received a call from the DoubleTree, home to the Symposium for most of the past 34 years. The hotel informed me that it will be closing in August. Needless to say, it was shocking news and immediately sent me searching for a new home for the Symposium.

The good news is that I am currently in discussions with a venue that has our traditional pre-Thanksgiving weekend available. If everything comes together as expected, the Symposium will continue on the same November weekend many of you have attended for years.

My goal is simple: to ensure that the International Fly Tying Symposium remains the premier event for fly tiers and anglers, while making the experience even better than before.

I expect to have final details soon and will share them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, thank you for your patience, support, and loyalty over the past 35 years.

More information will be coming in the next few weeks.

Mark your calendars for November 21–22, 2026.
