Folks, there's a lot of bad information regarding the AWB injunction making its rounds online. The injunction only prevents the VSP from enforcing the ban. It does not prevent the law from taking effect on July 1st, nor does it give a FFL the ability to continue to sell or transfer banned items.

Sure, it's a step in the right direction. However it doesn't go far enough to stop anything at this time. Online retailers resuming shipping are jumping the gun and until we receive more information from our legal team please do NOT send us a transfer of items that will be included in the ban! You will incur return fees as we cannot accept the transfer.

This is still very much a fluid situation (there is still a pending decision here in Washington County) when we know something we'll pass it along here.

Just a heads up for our customers,

As it stands on April 23rd HB1525, SB727/HB1524 was signed into law by Governor Spanberger.

HB1525 prohibits the sale/purchase and possession of certain fi****ms by legal adults under the age of 21. As written, the new prohibition on possession applies broadly to anyone under 21, including those who already own such fi****ms. **HB1525 also included a emergency clause making it law immediately rather than on July 1st, 2026**.
This effectively leaves thousands of previously legal gun owners in violation of Virginia law with no notice.

SB727/HB1524 outlaws carrying and transporting many types of common fi****ms on public property. This includes any semi-automatic centerfire rifle or pistol with a fixed magazine capacity over 15 rounds. This law takes effect July 1st, 2026.
