🥎 Coach David 🥎
⭐ Coach David ⭐
I’m Coach David, and this will be my third year coaching softball. I have two daughters and they are the reason I developed such a passion for softball and coaching. Being able to watch young athletes grow in confidence, learn new skills, and build friendships is one of the most rewarding experiences.
In addition to coaching, I am very active within the Wylie Fastpitch Softball Association and am committed to helping make youth softball a positive experience for every player and family. My goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where girls can develop their skills, learn teamwork, and build a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

🕊️ REMEMBERING EDWARD SCOTT 🕊️
Today, Midland is mourning the loss of Edward Scott, a husband, father, family man, umpire, coach and friend whose life was tragically taken during Friday’s shooting.
Edward was 62 years old. While headlines will focus on the violence, today we want to remember the man behind the name.
A family is grieving. A wife has lost her husband. Children have lost their father. Friends and loved ones are left with an empty seat at the table and memories that will now have to carry them forward.
As our community searches for answers, let’s not lose sight of the human cost of this tragedy.
Please keep Laura Vasquez Scott, their children, and the entire Scott family in your prayers during this difficult time. Also remember the injured victims, first responders, medical staff, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking event.
Softball is a strong community. When one family hurts, we all hurt.
May Edward Scott be remembered not for how his life ended, but for the life he lived and the people who loved him.
All the love and prayers from West Texas Venom Softball! 💙💗
Rest in Peace, Edward Scott. 🕊️

💙💗🖤 Venom Strong! 🖤💙💗
Today, many of our Venom girls had the opportunity to play in a round robin tournament, stepping onto different teams and into new situations. While they may not have all been wearing the same jersey, they never stopped being teammates at heart.
Watching these girls cheer each other on, encourage one another, and adapt to whatever was thrown their way made us incredibly proud. They played through pouring rain, battled tough conditions, and never lost their positive attitudes or love for the game.
It’s moments like these that show what Venom is really about—not just softball, but teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and heart. No matter what team they were on today, they represented Venom with pride.
Way to get out there, have fun, work hard, and show everyone what Venom softball is all about! We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. 🥎💪🌧️
Once Venom, Always Venom! 🖤 💙 🥎✨

Today, all of us at West Texas Venom pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️
Because of their courage, dedication, and selflessness, we are able to live, laugh, love, and watch our girls chase their dreams on the field every single day. That freedom is never taken for granted.
To all military families, veterans, and those carrying the weight of loss today — we stand with you, we support you, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
May we always remember the heroes who gave everything for this country.
❤️🤍💙

With all the rain and crazy weather, practice didn’t exactly go as planned today… but sometimes the best memories are made in the unexpected moments. 💗🥎
Instead of diamonds and drills, we got quality bonding time, good food, painting, laughs, and even got to watch some of our softball dads in the wild having a little too much fun. 😂
Days like today remind us that being a team is about so much more than softball. It’s about building friendships, making memories, supporting each other, and creating a family these girls can always count on. The bond they’re building together is something special, and it’s only making them stronger on and off the field.
We love each and every one of these girls and couldn’t be more proud to watch them grow together. West Texas Venom is more than a team — it’s a family. 🖤💙
