Yesterday our preschoolers had an unforgettable visit from Big Country Wildlife Rehabilitation Center!
A huge thank you for bringing a skunk, opossum, prairie dog, and raccoon to the YMCA and giving our children such a fun, hands-on learning experience. The kids loved gently petting the animals' backs, asking questions, and discovering fascinating facts about our local wildlife and how we can help protect it.
Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and passion with our little learners. We appreciate all you do to care for wildlife and educate our community!

Did you know Father’s Day began at a YMCA? In 1910, the first Father’s Day celebration was held at a YMCA in Spokane, Washington, to honor a devoted father who raised six children on his own.
Today, we continue to celebrate the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who strengthen our families and communities every day.
Happy Father’s Day from the YMCA! 💙
