🚧Pool Closures: Week of September 21 - 26.

The Pool will be closed the following days and time this week. When not closed, the regular pool schedule will still be followed.

Tuesday 9/22 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Thursday 9/24 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Aquatics is looking for lifeguards to help fill shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM & 4:30 PM. Come work at the YMCA and get your certification for FREE ($230 value)! Email [email protected] to apply or stop by the Welcome Center for a paper application.

The aquatics team at the YMCA of Abilene is looking for responsible, hardworking, and respectful young adults or retired seniors, who can pass a swim test, that are interested in a part time lifeguard job during the day. This opportunity would get them a lifeguard certification for free (worth $230 to the general public) and an amazing job as part of a wonderful team of people!

Shifts are 3-4 hours, with the flexibility to be schedule whatever days they are available Monday - Saturday, on a weekly basis. Raises are given based off merit at 6 months and then annually before the summer season. Minimum age to apply is 15 years old.

In observance of Labor Day, our facility will be closed Monday, September 7.

Labor Day is a time to recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and contributions that strengthen our communities. At the Y, we believe in caring for others, building strong communities, and creating opportunities for all.
