Texas Martial Arts Center TMAC, located at 1174 Butternut Street in Abilene, Texas, promotes fitness and healthy living. Fitness, family, fellowship, and fun are our guiding principles.

Texas Martial Arts Center is not your stereotypical martial arts school. We believe that quality martial arts training can be gained without rigid formality, aggressiveness, ego, military discipline, and expensive fees. Respect for others, personal dignity, and a sense of community reside at the core of who we are and what we do. We believe that life-long fitness and healthy living are extremely important and that anyone can benefit from the physical, psychological, and social benefits of martial arts training. Our family oriented class offerings, tuition schemes, college scholarships, and inclusive black belt programs speak to the character and mission of our school. Our Jeremy Simmons competed on a tournament today here in Abilene.

Jeremy is legally blind and has been training at Texas Martial Arts Center for a few years now. He has trained mostly in the Kyokushin program but also in the PKC program in the past month and a half he’s been training some Kajukembo For Self Defense.

He received a first place award in self-defense

He received a first place award in breaking with a palm heal.

And he receives second place after tying for first place in forms.

Absolute blast this morning at TMAC! 14 fighters on the floor, sharing knowledge, ideas, hands, feet, lol… fighters from all TMAC styles represented! Thank you, Mr. Tom Walke for an awesome class this morning! If you missed it, catch the next one… Every Saturday from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Congrats to our PKC instructors for a successful test and promotion this last weekend! Mr. Russell Holder earned his 4th Dan, Mr. Wayne Terrell earned his 3rd Dan, and Master Clay Bulls earned his 6th Dan. Congrats on an awesome weekend! Always a student mindset, keep training and Make it Happen!
