In the film, Bonnie’s toys are no longer simply adjusting to life as she gets older. They find themselves competing with a tablet named Lilypad, which begins drawing Bonnie away from imaginative play, meaningful friendships, and the joy of interacting with the world around her.

The story highlights a growing concern shared by many parents: that while technology has its place, it should never replace creativity, real relationships, or the experiences that shape childhood. Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, praised Pixar for addressing the issue, calling the film’s message “courageous.”
