This Saturday (6/20), we’ll probably be heading out shortly after the races since it’s Highmore’s town celebration and we’re trying to get back for it. But at all of our other races, we’ll be hanging around the pits for a while, so don’t be afraid to stop by!

2 weeks ago we had a 3 day race bender planned!

6/4 we planned on running Dakota state fair speedway for the first night of wheel jam but unfortunately that was rained out.

6/5 we went to brown county speedway in Aberdeen

Heat we drew pole and held on for a heat race win!

P1 to P1

That put us in the redraw with 28 Bmods attending and we started 6th. Unfortunately we folded the nose under and had a heating problem with the car. Had to pull of early and didn’t finish

P6 to DNF

6/6 was at Dakota state fair speedway for the 2nd day of wheel jam!

Heat started 6th and didn’t do much as we rebuilt the nose and replaced the radiator that morning. Got 1 spot and that was about it

P6 to P5

Feature started 9th and got up to 6th. Fell back on a late restart and finished 8th. Had a blast racing Jace back and forth for a lot of the race.

P9 to P8

6/13 we we were at Dakota state fair speedway again and it was probably one of crappiest nights we’ve had racing. No wrecks or anything like that, driver was just slow and the car didn’t want to work with the driver.

5/30 results at Dakota State Fair Speedway

Heat race we started second and led the first half of the race. A caution came out and on the restart I ran out of talent and couldn’t hang onto the lead

P2 to P4

Being 4th in the heat we made the redraw which put us outside front row in the feature. That is where the good luck stopped. Did nothing but drop back and finished 8th in the feature. I have a lot of work to do in turns 3 and 4, as that end of the track kicks my butt every race, but at least we have quite a few more races to figure it out.

A lot of people deserve thanks for helping us get back out and race last weekend.

We had a few very long nights in the shop getting this machine put back together and race-ready after opening weekend. After a trip to the frame rack, straightening a bent rear end, and fixing plenty of other dings and dents, we made it back to Dakota State Fair Speedway on Saturday (5/16).

For the heat race, we requested to start in the back because I wanted to make sure the car handled properly after all the work that had been done. Thankfully, it did — and honestly felt just like it did at the start of the season, which was great news.

Heat Race: P7 ➡️ P6

The feature moved quickly with 14 cars, only 2 cautions, and tough competition all night. The car still felt great and we were able to move forward again — that’s all we can ask for right now.

Feature: P12 ➡️ P9

Huge thank you to Jace Baloun, Uncle Mark, Jayme Peterson, Larry Kerr, Victorya Dykema-Ryan, Heath, and my mom for all the help in the shop getting this thing back together. Damage report from Dakota state fair speedway. The car has to go to the doctors and get fixed up. We are heading to the frame rack to fix the front end and we have some work to do on the rear.

A big thanks goes out to Tanner Zweifel, Mark, and Mary Lee Klebsch for helping in the pits and also getting this thing loaded after the races. That was a process. Also thanks to the track workers at Dakota state fair speedway for their help, that was appreciated.
