A peaceful home a beautiful place that everyone admires to live in. @ center for life change and development, we are devoted to fight gender based violence in our communities more especially domestic violence in our homes through sensitization and provide adequate information to the people in our communities, leaders, Volunteers, stakeholders, local government Bushenyi district are all not sleeping, we are joining hands together to fight this enemy in our homes in kakanju subcounty

Yesterday our volunteers from KIU university western Uganda did an amazing job in sensitizing our communities in Bushenyi district mainly in Nyabubare Subcounty villages handling GBV issues, adding on Open street map local points using one of the tools maps.me, thank you for the good work youth in fighting this great enemy in our communities, great thanks to

GBV as an issue affecting our communities cannot be solved single-handedly, as CLCD we are delighted to have engaged the Local government leaders, CDO Bushenyi district and chief of Nyabubare subcounty in Bushenyi district to fight for the same cause.

According to the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social development, gender-based violence (GBV) cases have been on the rise with over a 20% increase in cases reported during the covid-19 period. We are glad to be part of the team that is determined to reduce GBV cases in Bushenyi district-Western Uganda through integration of psychosocial support and use of open street mapping tools.

Domestic violence/GBV is increasing day by day in our homes, communties and it puts our lives at risk. GBV affects both women, children and men, but the good news is here, if we combine our efforts together ladies and gentlemen this disease is curable. Report all GBV cases to different stake holders in our community, to police, LCs in our villages, and if you are already affected please seek for counseling. Together we make our homes safe and peaceful places to live in 🙏
