SOKOLO FOOTBALL ACADEMY (SFA)
Sokolo Football Academy is derived from a local word called “Nsokolo” which means slum and congested areas. This defines and relates to the daily life that these children/members of such vulnerable communities go through.
*BACKGROUND*
Sokolo football academy (SFA) is a grassroot football program conducted in slum communities of Kawempe a suburbs of kampala city. Th
e Academy was founded in 2019 inspired by the need to facilitate holistic social transformation in the vulnerable communities of kawempe and other neighboring slum areas. The academy looks at using football as a change agent among children and youth through influencing behavioral change and uplifting talents.

To build a model soccer academy with an international status within the slum community setting nurturing and developing soccer talents
*OBJECTIVES*.
-Reaching out to the slums (vulnerable communities) with a message of hope through football related programs.
- Identify talents or glimpse of potential so as to nurture and mould that raw talent into finished footballing prospects.
- Creating opportunities at the academy for career advancement of the players through club initiatives and partnerships with other footballing entities.
- Offer life skills training as well as encourage and engage in livelihood boosting activities. E.g scholarship opportunities.
- Adopting a Godly approach in day to day activities so as to instill discipline and work towards achieving a morally upright crop of future players.
