This week at Alliance Française Kampala, we explored how culture, art, and science come together to protect our most precious ecosystems. From insightful panel discussions to a moving photo exhibition, we were reminded that wetlands are more than just water they are our identity, our history, and our future.
A huge thank you to Ms. Lucy Iyango (Ministry of Water and Environment) for her powerful keynote on the value of indigenous knowledge, and to poet Charles Kalungi (Kalinda Luzzi) for reminding us through his words that we must act before the “mudfish” disappears.
The best part? Seeing so many young, passionate voices ready to take action. When we bring together artists, policymakers, and the community, change is possible. 🤝

The exhibition is still open at our Médiathèque for a few more days! Come take a look, be inspired, and join the conversation.
