Karate Kids Grading Ceremony 2026
On Saturday, January 24th, 2026, Makerere University Goju-Kai Karate held its annual year kids grading. The event was more than just a grading. It was an exciting day where children from different areas, who had been training hard all year, came together. For some, it was their first attempt at a grading, while others had the joy of reuniting with old friends.
We call upon parents and schools to seriously consider introducing karate to children. It is far more than just a sport or an after-school activity; it is a holistic discipline that builds the foundation for a confident, healthy, and focused life. Parents, enrolling your child in karate is an investment you will never regret.
For Schools: Integrating karate or martial arts programs can transform your school's culture. It promotes respect among students, reduces behavioral issues, enhances students' ability to focus in class, and provides a structured, positive outlet for energy.
The lessons learned in karate—perseverance, goal-setting (through belt rankings), respect, and self-care—are lessons that shape better students, better friends, and ultimately, better adults.
Give your child the tools not just to defend themselves, but to thrive. Enroll them in karate. It is a decision you will thank yourself for, year after year.
