Marwari breed

he ancestors of the Marwari have been known since the time of Alexander the Great, and the origin of this horse is not easy to trace. Most likely, the blood of Arabian and Akhal-Teke horses flows in it. One and a half thousand years after the conquests of Alexander, in the XII century, the rulers of Marwar took up the selection. Strict selection made it possible to obtain a warhorse capable of surviving in the desert, enduring heat and cold, and quickly covering long distances.
