It’s when blood, sweat, and tears turn into defamine — the enzyme of pure happiness.
This isn’t just sport.
It’s the true art of knowing how to live.

An incredible story that shook me to my soul 😞💔

They dedicate their whole lives to it —
leaving behind years of grueling training and brutal qualification rounds.
Before the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Derek Redmond had undergone eight surgeries on his right leg, yet he managed to recover quickly, get back in top shape, and earn his rightful place on the Olympic team.

Redmond was a clear favorite: he won his opening heat and dominated the quarterfinals.
The semifinal stood between him and his dream of Olympic gold.

The starter’s pistol fired — the world’s top sprinters launched into the 400-meter race.
But just 150 meters in, Derek suddenly slowed down, grabbed his right leg — and collapsed.
A torn hamstring. A serious injury.

But just seconds later, he stood up.
And began hobbling forward.
This was no longer about victory — it was about pride, resilience, and refusing to give up.
With pain and tears on his face, he kept moving.
Slowly. Relentlessly.

The crowd of 65,000 spectators forgot about the rest of the race.
All eyes were on one man — fighting not the clock, but the pain.

With about 100 meters to go, someone broke onto the track —
it was his father, Jim.
No officials or security could stop him.

He reached his son and said,
“You don’t have to do this.”
But Derek replied firmly,
“Yes, I do.”
“Well then,” said his dad, “we’re going to finish this together.”

And they crossed the finish line side by side,
to a thunderous standing ovation from the Olympic stadium.

Holy Jesus! That was the first thing I could say after Alex’s victory in the final. A match that lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes—just think about it! Ten years of the journey, three world champions, two Paralympics, and finally, gold.

I am so proud of you, . You are my hero. The best is yet to come.
A huge thanks to and —you are our family. This is a perfect example of how the USA supported us in our hardest times, and together, we became champions.

Together with the USA, Ukraine will defeat russia’s terrorism in this senseless war.

Glory to Ukraine, and may America be great again!

Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, we did not stop in 2022 and obtained licenses 2024, taking a piece of the Paralympic cake.

I will never forget to thank the Ukrainian Paralympic family ..who believed and inspired me.
