✨Save The Dates✨

Three special yoga classes designed to help you slow down, unwind and rest!

Sun 27th Sept - Yin Stretch & Relaxation
A gentle, slower-paced practice focused on deep stretching and mindful movement. Poses are held for several minutes, with the support of blocks, straps and tennis balls to help release muscular tension, improve flexibility and encourage a deeper sense of relaxation.

Sun 25th Oct - Yoga Nidra
A guided meditation practice that takes you into a state of deep relaxation while maintaining a gentle awareness. Often described as “yogic sleep,” it offers an opportunity to completely slow down and rest.

Sun 29th Nov - Restorative Yoga
A deeply restful practice where the body is fully supported with props while holding gentle poses for longer periods. The focus is less on stretching and more on releasing tension and allowing the body and mind to truly rest.

✨Three different practices. One common intention: REST✨

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Brahmacharya is the fourth of the Yamas and is often translated as moderation or the wise use of energy. While traditionally associated with celibacy, many modern interpretations understand Brahmacharya as finding balance and being mindful of where we direct our time, attention, and life force.

Brahmacharya isn't about restriction or deprivation. At its core, it is the practice of using our energy intentionally rather than impulsively. It asks us to consider whether our actions align with our values and whether we are investing our energy in what truly matters.

Think about what Brahmacharya looks like both on and off the mat. On the mat, Brahmacharya invites us to notice what nourishes us and what depletes us, practicing with steadiness rather than striving for perfection. Off the mat, Brahmacharya encourages us to cultivate healthy boundaries and prioritize meaningful relationships, taking breaks from constant stimulation, and choosing activities that leave you feeling energized rather than depleted ✨️

This deeply relaxing practice invites you to slow down and fully rest. Using supportive props like bolsters, blankets, pillows and blocks, we’ll hold gentle poses for longer periods to encourage complete relaxation of both body and mind.

Unlike more active styles of yoga, restorative yoga focuses less on movement and more on calming the nervous system, releasing tension and creating space for deep rest. Think of it as the yoga class where drifting off to sleep is completely welcomed 😉

Today we honor the incredible men who have shaped our lives in profound ways. Whether it's your biological father, a stepdad, a grandfather, an uncle, or a father figure, this day offers a chance to express gratitude for their unwavering support, love and guidance 💖

Harm doesn’t always arise from anger or ill intent. Often, it grows in the spaces where empathy is absent and understanding is overlooked.

In yoga, we seek to cultivate awareness in ourselves, but more importantly, in our connection to others. When we pause to listen and seek understanding, while leading with compassion, we embody ahimsa.

How might the world change if we chose curiosity over judgment and empathy over assumption?

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Asteya is the third of the Yamas and is commonly translated as non-stealing. While it may seem straightforward, Asteya extends far beyond refraining from taking what does not belong to us. It invites us to examine how we use our time, energy, attention and resources, and to cultivate a sense of contentment with what we already have.

At its core, Asteya is the practice of trusting that there is enough. Enough time, enough success, enough opportunity, enough worth. It encourages us to move away from scarcity and toward gratitude for what is present in our lives.

Think about what Asteya looks like both on and off the mat. On the mat, it may be respecting the shared space by arriving on time and allowing others room to move freely. Being fully present, rather than letting our attention be stolen by distractions, our phones, expectations, or the next item on our to-do list. Off the mat, Asteya may be generously acknowledging the contributions of others or protecting your peace by stepping away from situations that drain your energy. When we trust that there is enough abundance in this world to be shared, we can celebrate the achievements of others without feeling that anything has been taken away from us ✨️

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Satya is the second of the Yamas and is often translated as truthfulness or living in alignment with what is true. This Yama asks us to cultivate honesty not just in our words, but also our thoughts and actions, while remaining grounded in compassion and awareness.

Satya is not about blunt honesty or factual truth. While this Yama invites us to speak authentically and to honour our feelings, its core teaching is the practice of living with integrity by aligning what we think, say and do so that we move through life with greater clarity and compassion.

Think about what Satya looks like for you both on and off the mat. On the mat, it might be listening to your body instead of forcing a pose or resting when needed. Off the mat, Satya may look like expressing your needs honestly, setting boundaries, admitting when something no longer serves you, or choosing authenticity over people-pleasing ✨️

I love every single one of classes and students but my favourite class every week is the space I share with LIFE Centre - Learning Is For Everyone. Being able to share such pure, undeniable joy is absolutely priceless and I'm beyond grateful to the wonderful people who contributed so that this could be facilitated at no cost.

And then seeing this video featuring my own yoga instructor is a true reminder of why we do what we do 💞 More than just inclusion, but teaching yoga from the heart and with true authenticity, making sure that each person is allowed their space to grow and be seen 🙏

If you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, this is a perfect opportunity to practice some loving kindness to yourself and start working towards easing that anxiety, lifting your mood, and reconnecting with your inner peace.
