2-Day Caribbean Cinema Event
On April 17th & 18th step into the world of Caribbean storytelling where film, culture and creativity collide. From insightful conversations to immersive screenings over good food, this is where filmmakers, creatives and audiences connect.
Kick things off on Friday April 17th with our Conversations on Caribbean Film webinar from 8:30 AM–12 PM and in the evening starting at 6PM relax, socialize and enjoy our Dinner & Movie screening of the award winning Trini film, “Fortune For All” immediately followed by an engaging Q&A session with its Director Dr. Yao Ramesar.
On Saturday, April 18th, we dive straight into craft with an all day session ( 9 AM – 4 PM) of “Writing with Light: A Caribbean Screenwriting Workshop” conducted by Dr. Ramesar which includes a Property Tour of potential locations for your next script. We close off the event with our 2nd Dinner & Movie night, this time featuring a Collection of Caribbean Short Films including Belize’s newest animated film, “Ocean Guardians - Stewards of the Blue Frontier”, also immediately followed by a Q&A with its Director Jeavon Blancaneaux. Come prepared to engage, connect, and bid via silent auction each night for our exclusive Belize Collection prize.
