The official launch of this year's edition of the 8-a-side tournament took place just over a week ago at the Oval ballroom. 💥
The journey to another year of bragging rights begins on Friday 4th September 🗓️

8-a-side 2026 officially launched! 💥

The first ball may be kicked in roughly 3 weeks time, but the 2026 8-a-side competition was officially launched this weekend at the tournament's first ever media launch at the QP Oval Ballroom. 🎉🙌🏽

It also served as a sign of appreciation to the sponsors that have supported another edition of a tournament that is the marquee member's event on the Oval's calendar.

The feature address by QPCC president Jeffrey Guillen, shared tidbits of the club's strategic plan and thanked the loyal and new sponsors for their partnership once again and the relationships that this event will build and develop.

The 35+ sponsor representatives, whose brands will be showcased via their teams whose games will also be streamed live once again this year, also experienced the new live voting feature that'll be introduced to select the individual prizes at the end of the tournament
The platform, "iVote Live", was presented by fellow parkite Omar Romero of ROSE ITSL, who'll also be returning as a team sponsor this year amongst other well-known brands.

Boots will first touch the Oval grounds on the 4th of September, running until the 16th October -- culminating with the return of the Corporate edition of the tournament. 🙌🏽
