The Nats for Control Line Precision Aerobatics concluded this past Friday! Incredible flying from everyone on the field this year. Here is a look at the winners:

We are in the heat of the 2026 Control Line Precision Aerobatics National Championships, and it’s the perfect time to look back at the legacy of excellence in our community. For this , we are showcasing a portion of master builder Peter Pereira’s incredible control line fleet.
There is nothing quite like the sight of a well-built control line fleet lined up and ready for flight. Peter’s attention to detail and dedication to the sport continue to set the bar for all of us. Whether it’s the scale lines or the performance capability, this collection represents the heart and soul of what makes control line flying so special.

It was a busy and exciting day at the 2026 AMA National Championships in Muncie, Indiana, as competitors took to the circle in both the Advanced and Open classes.

The Advanced Class competition concluded today with the crowning of the 2026 AMA National Advanced Champion. Congratulations to the new champion Jake Moon and to all the pilots who earned a place among the Top Five, showcasing outstanding precision, dedication, and sportsmanship. The Top 5 were Jake Moon, Page Peterson, Angstrom Eberenz, Matt Brown and Mike Londke.

Meanwhile, the Open Class completed its preliminary rounds, with the Top Five pilots now advancing to tomorrow's championship fly-off. After months of preparation and a day of exceptional flying, tomorrow these elite competitors will battle for the prestigious title of 2026 AMA National Open Class Champion.

Our own SACTT Secretary, Christian Chacha, is on location in Munice, Indiana, bringing you exclusive coverage from one of the world's premier Control Line Precision Aerobatics competitions.

Best of luck to tomorrow's finalists. We'll be following every flight as the 2026 Open Class National Champion is decided.

Our August Introduction to Flying Radio-Controlled Airplanes is coming up on August 23rd, and we still have a limited number of participant spots available.

We are proud to see one of our own not only representing Savannah Aero Concepts TT Model Aircraft Club and Trinidad & Tobago as a competitor, but also being entrusted with the responsibility of judging at this historic 100th AMA Nationals.

The L Pad buzzed with activity earlier today! Pilots in the Advanced and Expert categories putting in the work, sharing knowledge, making adjustments, and getting ready for competition. The camaraderie and willingness to help one another is what makes the control line stunt community so special.
