For many dancers, an IDTA Medal Test marks an important milestone in their journey.

Unlike a stage performance, a Medal Test is an individual examination where each dancer is assessed on the knowledge, technique, musicality, timing, and presentation they have developed throughout their training. Every medal achieved represents not just what a dancer can perform, but what they truly understand.

The internationally recognized IDTA syllabus provides students with clear goals, structured progression, and the opportunity to celebrate their growth one achievement at a time.

As formal examinations, IDTA Medal Tests are conducted in a focused, respectful, and professional environment. Limiting the examination room to the examiner, candidates, and essential studio personnel allows every dancer the privacy to complete their assessment without the added pressure or distraction of an audience.

If you or your child is interested in beginning the IDTA Medal Test journey, we'd be delighted to tell you more about how the programme supports dancers of all ages and abilities.

This weekend, our Founder and Principal Teacher had the honor of serving as one of the panel judges, supporting and celebrating dancers from across the region as they showcased the results of their hard work, discipline, and passion.

Judging is more than awarding marks. It is about recognizing excellence, encouraging growth, and helping preserve the standards and artistry that continue to strengthen our dance community.

We are incredibly proud to see her experience, knowledge, and lifelong commitment to dance recognized in this way.

Congratulations to every dancer, teacher, studio, and organizer who contributed to a wonderful event. Thank you to the Caribbean dance community for continuing to inspire excellence.

Dance is not only about the steps we perform it is also about the standards we uphold and the legacy we help create.
