Today, we hear from our Director, Ayanna Joseph, as she shares insights into the creative journey leading to our production on August 2nd.

Kavod (Χ›ΦΈΦΌΧ‘Χ•ΦΉΧ“, pronounced kah-VOHD) is a Hebrew word meaning weight or heaviness. Beyond its literal meaning, it speaks to glory, honor, worth, and substance. In ancient times, an object’s weight often reflected its value; therefore, kavod represents something of great significance and importance.

This is not a process we approach casually. Our dancers are refining and embodying the vision. Our stage crew is carefully analyzing every detail. Our director is reflecting, creating, and shaping an experience with intentionality and purpose.

Every rehearsal, every decision, and every moment of preparation is guided by a commitment to excellence and depth.

On August 2nd, 2026, at SAPA, you can expect more than a performance - you can expect an encounter rich with meaning, artistry, and substance.

We look forward to sharing this experience with you.

"Joyful" and "Excited." βœ¨πŸ¦πŸ‘

Two simple words from Kiana in our Tots Department, yet they beautifully capture the heart of her journey in The Lion is the Lamb.

As we prepare for our 2026 production, it is a joy to witness our youngest dancers growing in confidence, creativity, and expression. Their excitement reminds us of the wonder, anticipation, and love that make this process so special.

Thank you, Kiana, for sharing your heart with us. We can't wait for audiences to experience The Lion is the Lamb through the eyes of our young dancers. πŸ’›

Here is feedback from one of our advanced Junior dancers Jordan. She shares her word balance that encapsulates her journey for our 2026 production The Lion is the lamb.

Here are some scriptures that remind us about being bold like the lion and gentle as a lamb :

β€œThe wicked flee when no one pursues them, But the righteous are as bold as a lion” Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

β€œHe tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11

May you also be encouraged to be as bold as a lion and gentle as a lamb πŸ™πŸΎ
