The leadership trait I respect most isn’t competence. It’s accountability.
Over 20 years of leading teams across international and national companies taught me one thing:
I don’t expect leaders to know everything.
I expect them to say:
• “I don’t know yet.”
• “I misunderstood.”
• “Let me find out.”
• “I made the wrong call.”
Because leadership isn’t about always being right.
It’s about creating trust.
Ironically, leaders don’t lose credibility by admitting mistakes.
They lose credibility by pretending there wasn’t one.
The strongest leaders I’ve worked with weren’t the ones who made the fewest mistakes.
They were the ones who created psychological safety by taking responsibility - for decisions, communication, and outcomes.
That’s what people remember.
That’s what builds trust.
And that’s what teams follow.
What’s your take?
Have you ever worked with a leader who openly owned a mistake, and earned even more respect because of it?
Or have you experienced the opposite?
As a Leadership & Career Coach, I see this pattern more often than most leaders realize. Sometimes, one honest conversation is all it takes to transform the way a team communicates.

The first snow today felt like a gentle full stop.
A quiet pause between 2025 and 2026. ❄️
This year asked a lot of my heart.
I said goodbye to my beloved cat Stormy 🖤
We closed the FrauFUTURE office in Berlin - a chapter that held so many dreams.
I watched my daughter navigate grief, a new school, and for the first time bullying and racism > moments that broke me and strengthened me at the same time.
And I faced a painful truth within my own family: you can love deeply and still choose boundaries.
And yet… life kept offering light.
✨ I became a certified People & Culture Expert
✨ I landed a beautiful mid-size company client
✨ I mentored and trained incredible women - watching them claim their worth and step into opportunities they once doubted
✨ Two feral kitten siblings found their way into our home (and our hearts) 🐾
✨ And I found new office space in Potsdam: quieter, calmer, more aligned
2025 taught me that growth isn’t loud.
It’s tender.
It’s choosing again - even when you’re tired.
It’s grief and gratitude learning to coexist.
As the snow covers everything in white, I’m choosing softness, courage, and truth for 2026.
Less proving. More being.
Less noise. More meaning.
To everyone who stayed, supported, learned, unlearned, and grew with me: thank you🙏🏽❤️.
And to the version of me stepping into the new year:
I see you. We made it. 🤍💪🏽
Hello 2026. ✨🥂
