Observed annually on 24 June, the recognizes the achievements and contributions of women in diplomacy while encouraging governments, international organizations, academic institutions, civil society, and diplomatic communities to promote greater inclusion, remove structural barriers, and ensure that women have equal opportunities to shape the decisions that affect communities, nations, and the world.

When are represented at the tables where decisions are made, becomes more reflective of the people it serves and better equipped to advance lasting peace, sustainable development, and human dignity.
