Eastern Star - Stableford

Our regular turnout here every Friday and with one no show and one not in the comp there are 23 out with the cut at 3.5 - 17.8 (11) and 21.9 + (12). 40 points is the best of the day with Craig Thomas 18 winning division 1, Shane Tutton 19 comes in second with 34 and two scores of 33 come in and with a countback of 14/13 Ian Robinson 12 beats Nik Evans 19. After 46 points on Wednesday Gary Chin 41w takes podium position in division 2 with 39 points, Steve Parsons 30y comes in second with 33 and John Doyle 33w finishes 3rd with 30 and with a warm welcome return to John Rattray 30w
he comes in fourth with 29 points.
A pleasant round here today with a cool breeze throughout the round and the greens in very good condition. Ian Robinson birdies the 3rd for the only two of the day and only four winners out of eight in the near pins, Ian Robinson (2) and Craig Thomas and Tony Molloy on the 13th in division 2.
Bonus points today were 100, 80, 60 and 30 and 30 in the two.
There is no golf on Monday and Wednesday next week but as always Eastern Star on Friday at 9.00am.
The mini bus departs Frasers at 7.45 or just turn up at Eastern Star at 8.30 please inform Craig Thomas 0983430721‬ and Steve Banks will be on the first tee with the handicap list of the day.

We are playing the A and B nines today and with 18 out and fairest cut was 3.5 - 15.7 (8) and 15.9 + (10).
Division 1 is off the white tees with the rating at 131 and division 2 a choice of white or yellow at 126. Some remarkable scores in today with Gary Chin 36y winning division 2 with 46 points and with his first game on his return John Rattray 25y comes in second with 40 points and Frank Stockton 25y is third with 39 points. In division 1 Shane Tutton 19 takes podium position with 41 and then three scores of 40 come in and with a 20/19/18
countback Bengt Engstrom is second Colin Pears third and Jim Vonder loses out. There were no two's today in any division and the near pins were Div 1. Paul Hubbard, Craig Thomas (2) and Jim Vonder and Div 2. John Doyle and Blue Mauchline.
Bonus points were 100, 50 and 30.

Burapha - Stableford

An enjoyable course here and we are playing the A and B nines and we are testing the blue and white tees today.
The rating off the blue was 130 and the white tees 123 and the cut in the two divisions was 3.5 -15.9 (9) and 20.0 + (7). Laurent Berger 25w records the best score of the day winning division 2 with 41 points and in second place with 38 Blue Mauchline 20w and in third place with 35 is Frank Stockton 25w. Colin Pears 7w wins Division 1 with 40 points and three points behind in second place is Jim Vonder 10w and with a 20/19 countback Craig Thomas 14w beats Bill Bertram 12b for 3rd place after two scores of 36 come in.
Only one two today for Jim Vonder on A6 and near pins were Div 1. Bill Bertram, Paul Hubbard, Colin Pears and Jim Vonder and only one winner in division 2 Laurent Berger .
Bonus points today were 70, 50 and 30 and 25 in the two's .

Greenwood - Stableford

We are playing the A and B nines today and with 19 out the cut was 3.5 - 15.4 (9) and 16.3 + (10) and everybody is playing off the white tees with the rating at 129 and nobody in division 2 is off the yellow tees at 120. Two scores of 37 come in for both divisions today and Marc Brunner 10 is the winner in division 1 with Bill Bertram 11 in second place with 35 and one point behind in third place is Gus Gannon 8. Frank Stockton 27 takes podium position in division 2 and then two scores of 34 come in and with a back nine countback of 17/15 Blue Mauchline 22 beats Agust Eriksson 21.
A very enjoyable round here today with the course in good condition but the greens were very slow but some enjoyed them and a few did not.
Only one two today for Bill Bertram on A2 and near pins were Div 1. Marc Brunner, Gus Gannon and Shane Tutton and Div 2. Agust Eriksson and Blue Mauchline.
Bonus points today were 90, 60 and 35 and 30 in the two's.

Only six groups out today with a quite a few low handicappers not here and the cut was 8.7 - 17.5 (8) and division 2 19.3 + (13). 40 points is the best score of the day with Steve Godfrey 25w winning division 2 and with 36 points John Doyle 34w is second and then two scores of 35 come in and with a back nine countback of 15/15 and 11/10 Gary Lynch 31w is third and David Ober 49w is fourth. In division 1 Frank Kelly 20 takes podium position with 36 and then two scores of 34 come in and with a countback of 18/16 Marc Brunner 12 beats Marty Rock 15 and in fourth place Keith Simmonds 22 beats Jim Vonder 12 on a 19/18 countback after two scores of 32 come in.
There were no two's today in either division and amazingly only 3 winners out of 8 in the near pins today, Marc Brunner (2) in division 1 and Steve Banks in division 2.
Bonus points today were 100, 70, 40 and 30.
Next week is Greenwood on Monday at 9.20am and a public holiday on Wednesday Mountain Shadow at 9.30am.

Plutaluang - Stableford

We have booked the North and West nines today and upon arrival we are playing them and with 16 out the equal cut in the two divisions 8.7 - 16.3 (8) and 19.3 + (8). Playing off 11 today Marc Brunner returns the best score of the day winning division 1 with 38 points, Paul Hubbard 14 comes in second one point behind and with 35 points Craig Thomas 17 is third. Frank Stockton 28w wins division 2 with 34 and then two scores of 32 come in and with a countback of 18/14
Frank Grainger 26w beats Steve Godfrey 19y.
Two two's today, Marc Brunner in division 1 and Harry Vincenzi in division 2.
Near pins Div 1. Lance Anderson and Marc Brunner (3). Div 2. Steve Godfrey and Harry Vincenzi (2). Pick clean and place as always here on the fairways and the bunkers and no complaints regarding the round here today.
Bonus points were 60, 40 and 25 and 25 in the two's.

There are only 14 out today so only one division and a choice of white tees at 128 or yellow at 123.
An almost empty car park as we arrive and there is only one two ball out in front of us. Bengt Engstrom 17w is the winner today with 38 points and with 34 points off the yellow tees Craig Hitchens 19 is second and then two scores of 33 come in and with a countback of 19/17 John Doyle 28y beats Steve Godfrey 19y. Neil Gamble 12w birdies the 4th today for the only two of the day and near pins were Div 1. Neil Gamble and Craig Thomas and Div 2. Glyn Evans (2).
No rain yet again today and an enjoyable round and the greens here today were very slow but in reasonable condition. Bonus points were 100, 80, 50 and 30 and 30 for the two.

We have 7 groups out today and the fairest cut in both divisions playing off the white and Yellow tees is 8.4- 17.7 (9) and 18.8 + (16). 41 points is the best score of the day with Wyn Williams 38w winning division 2, Tom Carmody 38w comes in second with 37 and with 36 Steve Banks 28w is third and Blue Mauchline 23w is fourth with 35 points. Marty Rock 15 wins division 1 with 40 points and then two scores of 35 come in and with a countback of 20/15 Paul Hubbard 15 beats Keith Simmonds 22.

Two two's today both in division 1

Bill Bertram on the 6th and Keith Simmonds on the 3rd.

Near Pins were Div 1. Marc Brunner

A pleasant round here today with intermittent spots of rain throughout the round but no showers at all and a cool breeze all day.

Bonus points were 100, 80, 50 in Div 1 and 100, 80, 50 and 25 in Div 2 and 25 points in the two's.

Monday is Pattavia at 9.30 and Wednesday Plutaluang N + W at 9.30am.
