Friday 5th June

Eastern Star - Stableford

There are six groups out today with 21 in the comp and the fairest cut was 4.0 - 16.6 (8) and 21.6 + (13). An amazing 42 points comes in and Steve Banks 30w takes podium position in division 2 with Frank Grainger 27w coming in second on 38 and Steve Parsons 31y is 3rd on 32 points. Ian Robinson 13 is the winner in division 1 with 35 and in second place playing off 6 Shaun O'Gorman is second and the Irish boy Frank Kelly 21 comes in 3rd with 30 points.
As we tee off today a short storm for five minutes so a 10 minute delay and a light drizzle as the first group go down the 1st fairway but nothing after, a clear round.
Only one two today Frank Kelly on the 6th and near pins were Div 1. Shaun O'Gorman (3) and Div 2. Frank Grainger and Steve Parsons.
Bonus points today were 100, 70 and 40 and 30 in the two's.
Monday is Plutaluang at 9.30 and Wednesday Pleasant Valley at 9.30.

Monday 1st June

Mountain Shadow - Stableford

Only 11 out today and everyone is playing off the blue tees with the rating at 133 and nobody off the white at 119. Harvey Millington 24 records the best score of the day winning with 37 points, Kapil Shah 18 comes in second one point behind and Pete Sumner 15 finishes 3rd with 35 points.
One two today and only one near pin for Kapil Shah on the 5th. The greens here today were very slow and very coarse but the round was enjoyable especially at 1250 all in for a public holiday.
Bonus points today were 100, 80 and 50 and 25 in the two's.
It was Bon Voyage today to Steve Casey and Pete Sumner, see you both in a few months.

Thursday 26th May

Eastern Star - Stableford

Another good turnout today with 19 out and the cut was 4.0 - 16.6 (10) and 21.5 + (9) and 38 points is the best of the day with Marc Brunner 13 winning division 1, Mark Potton 15 comes in second on 36 and Maurice Phelan 19 is third with 35 and then three scores of 33 are fighting for fourth place and Paul Hubbard 15 is a happy chappie beating Frank Kelly 21 and Shaun O'Gorman 6 on a 17/17/15 and 12/11 countback. Steve Parsons 31y takes podium in division 2 with 37 points and Glyn Evans 33 comes in second with 35 and Tony Molloy 34 is third one point behind and in fourth place Steve Holman 26 with 31 points.
There were no two's today and only 3 winners in the near pins, Bill Bertram, Marc Brunner and Shaun O'Gorman off the white tees so the bonus points today were, 90, 60, 40 and 25 in both divisions. Please Note the next two Friday's here have a 9.30 am tee off.

Bangpra - Stableford

A strange schedule this week and we are playing Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and today we only have 14 out so only one division and three scores of 35 come in and with a back nine countback of 19/17/17 and 11/10 Mark Potton 14 takes podium position, Colin Pears 11 is second and Shane Tutton 18 is third and with 33 points Harvey Millington 24 is fourth. Everybody played off the white tees with the rating at 130. Bob Comartin birdies the 5th in division 2 and Shaun O'Gorman the 17th in division 1 and near pins were Bob Comartin, Shaun O'Gorman, Colin Pears and Pete Sumner.

Bonus Points were ‪100. 70. 45‬ and 25 and 25 in the two's.

Tuesday 26th May

Pattaya Country Club - Stableford

A larger turnout today with 19 in the comp with the cut at ‪4.0 - 16.0‬ (10) and 17.1 + (9) and yet again both divisions are off the white tees. 37 is the best score of the day and Mark Potton 12 is in the frame again
winning division 1 with 37 points, Marc Brunner 10 comes in second one point behind and then three scores of 34 come in fighting for third place and with a countback of 20/19/18 Paul Hubbard is third and Bengt Engstrom and Neil Gamble lose out. Steve Banks 25 is the winner in division 2 with 33 points and then John Doyle 28 beats Markku Tynell 29 on a 15/10 back nine countback after two scores of 30 come in.

Bonus points today were 80, 50 and 25 in both divisions and 25 in the two's for Shaun O'Gorman and in division 2 Bob Comartin and Steve Banks.

Near pins were Marc Brunner, Neil Gamble,

Shaun O'Gorman and Mark Potton and Steve Banks and Bob Comartin in division 2.

Very lucky with the weather again over the two rounds and both games were enjoyed
by everyone.

It is Bob Comartin's big 70th birthday bash at Laem Chabang today so only 11 out in the comp here today. Markku Tynell 35w takes podium position with 36 points and Frank Kelly 21w comes in second one point behind and then two scores of 33 come in and with a countback of 17/15 Steve Casey 26w beats Joe Pethes 11w.
It was a pleasant round here today with a
few spots of rain for the fist three holes but nothing later.
Only one near pin today Joe Pethes on the 17th off the white tees and in the twos Steve Casey on the 6th and Frank Kelly on the 17th.
Bonus points today were 80, 60, 40 and 30 and 25 in the two's.

Our last game before our annual trip to Hua Hin next week and we have 17 out with 16 in the comp and the cut was 4.1 - 17.2 (7) and 22.2 + (9) and two scores of 37 come in for both divisions and Marty Rock 16 wins division 1 with Shaun O'Gorman 6 in second place one point behind and with a countback of 20/17 Bill Bertram 11 beats Pierre Batardon 21 on a 20/17 back nine countback.

Markku Tynell 35 is the winner in division 2 with Steve Holman 27 coming in second on 35 and with only one player off the yellow tees today Steve Parsons 31 comes in 3rd with 31 points.

A record today for Jomtien golf with eight near pins up for grabs and only one winner, Bill Bertram in div 1 on the 6th and only one two for Joe Peters in div 2 who chips in from off the green on the 17th.

Bonus points today were 100, 50 and 30 and 30 for the two.

On our return it is Khaeo Kheow on Monday, Treasure Hill on Wed and Eastern Star on Friday.

Pleasant Valley - Stableford

Another small field out today with 13 in the comp so only one division and the rating for the tees was Blue at 130 and White at 118. Neil Gamble 12b takes podium position with 35 points and Laurent Berger 26b comes in second two points behind and Shaun O'Gorman 4b is 3rd with 32 and in 4th place with 31 points is Ken Miller 15w.

There were no two's today and the near pins were Neil Gamble and Shaun O'Gorman off the blue tees and Glyn Evans and Ken Miller off the white.

Bonus points today were 100, 80, 50 and 35 and an enjoyable round here with some very slow greens and this was on every hole.
