Muay Thai, also known as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, is one of the world’s deadliest combat sports. But its toughness comes with a price.
Originally developed for self-defence, its devastating power stood the test of warfare for centuries. Years of wear and tear result in a damaged body preventing many athletes to reach their true potential. Cars break down without a visit to the mechanic and so does your body. Bulletproof for Muay Thai is a specialized approach to prepare, recover, mobilize and strengthen the body for longevity in

Loading the ankles and knees out of alignment. An important yet always neglected part in training. Conditioning the most vulnerable joints in the body for more resilience and longevity in the sport. Give it a try.
Legless rope climbs are an excellent strength drill for fighters. A natural vertical pulling motion that requires good relative strength and a strong grip. Combat training demands mostly pushing and throwing (strikes). Pulling is an essential counter movement we need to keep the body balanced and healthy. Rope climbs excels all other pulling movements.
Going through a general upper body strength protocol. I use basic gymnastic strength elements to build a mobile, healthy and organically strong physique. Master your body so you can master your opponents body. Ditch the bench press, get strong with gymnastics! There is much more bang for your buck!
Au Quebrado (One Handed Handstand Kick), originally from Capoeira. The kick found its way into Muay Thai after early pioneers scored knockouts successfully.
Unpredictable, unorthodox but legal. Applying the movement approach in your practice and thinking outside the box opens up new options. Watch out for the Meia Lua de Compasso (Wheel Kick)! It is already on its way!

The shoulder joint has more range of motion than any other joint in the human body. Its freedom opens up unlimited options to use our arms in every direction and angle: pushing, pulling, throwing, climbing, playing the violin etc.
Since they have so much mobility they are very vulnerable. In order to keep the shoulders healthy we need to use the complete range of motion. In Muay Thai we are using the arms for punching mainly in front of the body. Most other daily activities require the arms to be in front of the body also. Over time this leads to one sided over development and overuse injuries.
With shoulder dislocates we rebalance and restore this natural rolling of the arms inside the shoulder socket through full use of range of motion. Start with a wide grip and as your flexibility improves narrow the grip.

Sharing a fun little drill from Ido Portal to practice reaction, agility, anticipation and irregular squatting patterns. Instruction: catch the stick just before it hits the floor. The main use of our leg is locomotion. Watch how irregular he needs to positions his body, how quick he needs to react, change direction to complete the task. A great warm up drill to keep you sharp and bring back the spring in your step!
You can have the best punch in the world but if you cannot anticipate where in space the target will be to connect with the strike, it is useless. The tennis ball drill is a fun little exercise to keep that hand eye-coordination sharp. Try!

Great demo session with the fighters from Diamond Muay Thai. Spine, hips and shoulders were the main target of this practice. Injury prevention, preparation for breaking out of alignment, expanding range of motion while having a lot of fun.
