Blindfold King!

We were thrilled to welcome chess Grandmaster Timur Gareyev to the Oak last night.🙏

As well as being a Grandmaster at the age of 16, he was the nicknamed "The Blindfold King" after setting a Guinness World Record for playing 48 chess games simultaneously blindfolded!

He joined our Bangkok Chess Club Round Robin last night and we all got a chance to witness the legend in real time! ♟️

We're excited to welcome 𝗚𝗠 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘃, the world-renowned 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴, for a special Blindfold Simul during the 2nd Bangkok Summer International Chess Open 2026.
