🐺 JUNIOR WOLVES CLAW THEIR WAY PAST JUNIOR DRAGONS 🐉

The Junior Dragons led for most of the game and looked in control early, but the Junior Wolves stayed within striking distance and gradually changed the game with their defensive pressure.

As the game tightened, the Wolves increased the pressure, forced turnovers, and created key opportunities in transition. That late-game push shifted the momentum and allowed them to complete the comeback, closing out a 62–57 victory to start the season.

The Junior Wolves move to 1–0, while the Junior Dragons open at 0–1 after a strong showing that kept them ahead for much of the contest.

🐈‍⬛ BOBCATS DETHRONES QUEENS, CLINCH SEASON 3 CHAMPIONSHIP

The Bangkok Bobcats outdueled the JR Basketball Academy Queens 38-35, taking the championship in the high stake finals of the SCBC Queens Season 3, Wednesday, Swish Bangna. Trailing by 4 at the end of the third quarter, the Bobcats launched a 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter ,clawing their way to take the lead for good. Maysa, later hailed as the season and finals MVP went all business putting up another double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds. It was a catfight from the get-go as the Bobcats took an early 12-9 lead to end the first quarter. The second quarter was no different as the Bobcast kept a three point lead heading to halftime, 18-15. The Queens, undefeated for the entire season, stepped on the gas and outscored the Bobcats in the third to grab the lead, 30-26 before the Bobcats' own run. The Queens made it interesting, cutting the lead to 3, 38-35 entering the championship minutes. With the title on the line, the Queens made another defensive stop in the dying seconds but were not able to get a clear shot to tie the game as the Bobcats got it done and took the win. It was a redemption of sorts as Maysa and her team lost their opening game to the Queens. They also lost in the Season 2 championship but Maysa, along with Season 1's champions, ran it back and rewrote their story. Marin, Kana and Fah won their second SCBC Queens title. It's third time's a charm for Mook, Dewkiki and Kitty as they finally buried the ghost of Season 1 and 2's past. JJ finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals for the Bobcats who were the favorite to win it all because of their immaculate record.

🎙️ Asked about what’s going through her mind, up by three, one last defensive stop, less than a minute to go, with the championship staring at her, Maysa explained: Sooo many things, "don’t foul", "don’t let them shoot", "DEFEND". I was honestly pep talking myself quietly but out loud saying “come on, 24 seconds, push it.” I knew their team was 100% capable of making 3s so that made it even harder to defend and I was most worried they’d score a 3 to tie." "I think what was most important though was to get possession of the ball because there was just enough time left to get by by us holding it. Actually, I think I remember us being up by 5, they banked a 3, I looked at the scoreboard and they had 12 seconds to score 1 more basket. During this moment I actually did get flashbacks of last season briefly when we got second place but at this point, I squeezed my eyes tight, sweat blurring my vision and put the rest of my faith in my team to hold it down to win the championship."

🎙️ Asked about being aggressive, foul trouble or not, the ball seems to find her everywhere, how she positioned herself getting those rebounds, she quipped: "The trick really is to box out. It’s such a fundamental skill and I’ll never forget in the UK this one 4ft player who stole every single rebound from me because her box out game was killer. I also really try my hardest to get rebounds or to fight for balls regardless if that ends up with me scrambling on the floor because another chance is another opportunity and I want to create as many as I can for my team".

🎤 You finally slayed the ghost of last season’s loss, how personal and sweet is it to get it done this year?

Maysa: "Genuinely unbelievable that we won. I think if you asked anyone watching that game they’d say it was tough, always up 2 down 2 and made for a great finale. If I’m being honest I didn’t think we would win, I even told my mom to go home because it’s not worth traveling to watch so she did but then we ended up winning ". "Last year was very rough because it felt as if everyone really put their all into the game but sometimes it’s not enough so being triumphant this year has become a highlight for me in 2026 and being mvp/finals mvp is also a career high."

🎤 What makes Season 3 different from last year’s? Aside from winning it all this year?

"Well this year we didn’t have a coach which made substitutions interesting and I also learnt that you can't contest a foul without a coach. (lol)"

"I would say it was much scarier playing this year as when you’re in the basketball community for a while, eventually everyone knows you and how you play and I really felt that when playing the Pixel Penguins as almost everyone on that team I had played with so I was worried they’d devise a plan. Luckily basketball is a team sport and I could 100% rely on my friends to help, which they did and I definitely needed most in the finals as team J.R kept stealing the ball from me whenever I was in the key."

"One last thing is that I felt such an immense amount of support throughout this season. I mean it was there last season but this year I am so grateful to all that was cheering for me to do well and pack that stat sheet so a big fat thank you to all involved in making Queens season 3 AWESOME." ⭐️🌟💫

🐧 Penguins Catch Storms, Sn**ch 3rd Place Finish

The Pixel Penguins waddle their way into a podium finish beating the young and gritty Crimson Storms, 59-31, in the SCBC Queens Season 3 battle for third, Wednesday, Swish Bangna. The Penguins started slow with the Storms taking an early lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter. Relying on their deep bench since day one, the Penguins made the necessary adjustments to pull away gradually, outscoring the Storms for the remainder of the game. Scoring Champ and Mythical 5 member Keito was limited to a single point. Do and Pang, both in the second Mythical team selection, took care of the offense, both tallying with double-doubles. Do put up 11 points 10 rebounds and 3 steals and Pang with an all-around 10 points 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Nica and Pulay topscored for the Storms with 7 points apice while Lee grabbed a team-high 11 boards. The Storms missed the shooting of Vicky, who finished in the second Mythical team. Nica finished in the third Mythical team.
