However, the second innings belonged entirely to the Rayong Smashers. The BCA Summer League 2026 - Challangers B kicked off with a nail-biting encounter on 06/21/2026, as Bca Smashers emerged victorious by a narrow margin of 17 runs against Tamil Nadu cc 2. The home side, Tamil Nadu cc 2, won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision that would set the stage for a high-scoring thriller.

The Match Report: BCA Smashers vs. Rayong Smashers

Beginning of the tournament game against the Rayong Smashers turned out to be an absolute thriller. After winning the toss, the Rayong Smashers opted to bowl first, inviting the BCA Smashers to set a target in a 25-over encounter.

The BCA Smashers posted a formidable total of 220/5, courtesy of a disciplined and explosive batting performance. The foundation was laid by a solid 52-run partnership between Ankur, who scored a brilliant 57, and Sangam, who chipped in with a vital 33. Arjun then took control of the middle overs, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 39*. He stitched together a crucial 48-run stand with Ankur to keep the scoreboard ticking. Following Ankur’s dismissal, Nauroze provided the ultimate late-innings fireworks, blasting a rapid 28 off just 14 balls* in an unbeaten 52-run partnership with Arjun to push the total past 200.

Defending 220, the Smashers' bowlers fought valiantly. Harinder was the pick of the bowlers, striking twice to finish with 2 wickets, while Rohit claimed 1 wicket to keep the game in the balance.

In a highly anticipated BCA Derby, the BCA Smashers emerged victorious in a high-stakes encounter against the BCA Blues. After winning the toss, the Blues elected to field, inviting the Smashers to set a target—a decision that would soon be tested by a batting masterclass.

The innings belonged to Rakesh, who played a magnificent knock to record his maiden century, finishing with a commanding 110 runs. His innings was the backbone of the Smashers' total, supported by crucial partnerships throughout the order. Mohit Bohra (28) and Arjun (30) provided steady stability in the middle overs, while Pawan Yadav provided the late-innings fireworks with a blistering 29-run cameo to propel the score out of reach.
Chasing a daunting total, the Blues faced a disciplined Smashers bowling attack. The spin department proved to be the difference-maker; Harinder strangled the scoring rate with an economical spell of 1/24, while Nauroze struck key blows to finish with 2/36. Manoj capped off a brilliant all-round performance by chipping in with 1/16.

Despite a spirited fight from the BCA Blues, the Smashers' scoreboard pressure proved too much. The Smashers ultimately defended their total with grit, securing a clinical 49-run victory in what was a classic Derby showdown.

Vital contributions from Manoj (27) and Sanjoy (21) helped push the total to a competitive 165. On the bowling front, Harry Paaji and Adil kept the pressure on with 2 wickets each. Despite Manoj’s late 2-wicket breakthrough, Rayong Smashers managed to seize control of the chase, ultimately clinching the victory by 6 wickets. A tough loss, but plenty of positives to take away!

A Bittersweet Farewell to a BCA Legend

Today is a heavy day for the BCA Smashers. We are saying goodbye to Bikram Paaji, one of our original founding members and truly one of the finest players to ever wear the jersey.

Moving to a new country can be lonely, but Bikram Paaji made sure we never felt the distance from our families back home. He wasn't just a teammate; he was the glue that kept us connected.

Bikram Paaji, as you shift back to India, know that you leave a massive gap in this club that won’t be easily filled. We wish you nothing but the absolute best in your future endeavors.

Remember: The court will always be yours, and the doors of BCA Smashers are permanently open for you whenever you return.
