1. Why do I get tired so easily?
This is completely normal. As a beginner, your body is still adjusting to badminton movements like lunges, jumps, quick changes of direction, and recovery steps. During training, you’re also thinking about the correct technique while trying to perform it, and that can make you feel tired faster. The more you train, the more your body adapts, and the movements will slowly feel easier.
2. Why do advanced players move so smoothly?
Advanced players don’t just move faster — they move more efficiently. Their footwork looks smooth because they have repeated the same movements many times in training with proper guidance. Because the movement is already familiar to their body, they can react quicker, stay relaxed, and reach the shuttle with better timing and balance.
3. How can I improve my smash?
Improving your smash takes time, effort, and proper training. It’s not only about hitting harder. You need good timing, correct body rotation, proper grip, footwork, and contact point. Strength and conditioning can also help you become more explosive, but the biggest key is consistent practice. The more you practice correctly, the more you understand your mistakes and improve your power.
4. Should I buy a better racket?
Yes, but it doesn’t mean you need to buy the most expensive or latest racket used by professional players. A better racket means one that is suitable for real badminton training, recreational games, or competitive play. A good racket can give you better feel, cleaner contact, and less stress on your arm compared to very basic market rackets. But remember, the racket helps — your technique still matters more.
5. How can I join games if I’m the weakest player?
Don’t focus too much on who is better than you. As a beginner, your goal is to learn, explore your skills, and enjoy the game. Everyone starts somewhere. Be confident, especially if you’ve been joining training sessions, but also stay open to advice and corrections. Keep playing, keep learning, and you’ll improve faster than you think.
For all beginners: don’t be afraid to ask questions. Asking is part of learning, and learning is how you level up your game.

LEE ZII JIA IS BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN 🇲🇾🔥
Lee Zii Jia opened his US Open 2026 campaign with a strong 2-0 win over Nguyen Hai Dang of Vietnam, 21-15, 21-17.
More than just a Round of 32 victory, this feels like an important response from the former world No. 2. After a rough run of early exits, Lee finally gets the start he needed — calm, solid, and convincing.
It is also a big one because this is his first appearance at the US Open, and he has already made it count.
Sometimes one win is all it takes to change the mood.
Could this be the reset Lee Zii Jia needed? 👀🏸

LAKSHYA SEN WITHDRAWS FROM US OPEN 2026
India’s men’s singles campaign at the US Open 2026 has taken an unexpected turn as Lakshya Sen has withdrawn from the tournament.
Lakshya was originally expected to lead India’s challenge in Fullerton, California, as the second seed in the men’s singles draw. His withdrawal is a big talking point, especially after he had already skipped the Australian and Macau Opens.
As of now, there is no confirmed official reason for the withdrawal, so fans will have to wait for further updates from his team or tournament officials.
For Indian badminton, this opens the door for other players to step up and make their mark on the US Open stage.
Wishing Lakshya a strong return whenever he is ready. 💪🏸
What do you think? Should top players prioritize recovery and planning over playing every tournament?
