This October, let’s paddle through rivers, canals, communities and stories!
From historic riverside towns in Ratchaburi and Nakhon Pathom to Bangkok’s canals, Bang Krachao, and the coastal landscapes of Rayong.

Six trips, six different perspectives — discovering history, local life, culture and nature from the water.

Because the more we use our waterways, the more we care for them. Paddle with us and be part of a better future for Thailand’s rivers and canals.

► Mae Klong River, Ratchaburi
Date: Sat 3 Oct 2026 | 3:30 PM..
Distance: approximately 8 km.

Paddle Through Photharam — River Stories, Mon Heritage & Riverside Life

What if you explored Photharam not from the road, but from the surface of the river?
This Pa Pi Pie journey takes you onto the Mae Klong River, one of the most important waterways of western Thailand. Formed by the meeting of the Khwae Yai and Khwae Noi Rivers, the Mae Klong has supported communities, agriculture, trade and everyday life for generations before flowing toward the Gulf of Thailand.

We’ll paddle SUP across the wide, peaceful river, passing riverside homes, temples, gardens and local communities. From the water, the pace of life feels slower — with the gentle sound of paddles replacing the noise of traffic. But Photharam is more than a beautiful river landscape. It is also a place where different communities and cultural traditions have lived alongside one another for generations, including the Mon people who have long been part of the Mae Klong basin. Their heritage can still be experienced through local traditions, beliefs, food, architecture and community life.

Along the route, we’ll discover traces of traditional riverside architecture — wooden houses, waterside dwellings, temples and historic buildings that reveal how closely religion, trade and everyday life were once connected to the river.

Photharam is also connected to the cultural heritage of Nang Yai, Thailand’s traditional large shadow-puppet theatre. Beyond the performance itself, the beautifully carved leather figures represent generations of craftsmanship, storytelling and local cultural knowledge.

As we paddle, you'll begin to see the river differently.
It was once a highway.
It connected communities and markets.
It shaped the town.
And today, it still carries stories.

This isn't simply a SUP trip. It's a journey into Photharam through its river, people, culture and nature. Slow down, take a deep breath, dip your paddle into the Mae Klong—and let the river tell you its story.

Equipment Rental Fee: THB 1,100
(This price includes Paddleboarding, Paddle and Life Jacket)

► Ban Sai Canal, Latmayom Floating Market, Bangkok
Date: Sat 10 Oct 2026 | 06:30 am.
Distance: approximately 7 km.

Paddle through the living story of Bangkok’s canal-side farming culture—where waterways once carried hundreds of trading boats each day.

In the past, this area was one of Bangkok’s key agricultural hubs, with orchards and vegetable gardens lining Khlong Bang Ramat and Khlong Bang Sai. Fresh produce was transported by boat to major markets like Sanam Luang and Pak Khlong Talat.
Along the way, you’ll discover traditional “garden architecture” — wooden stilt houses designed to adapt to tidal water levels, historic temples that anchor the community, and a way of life still deeply connected to the water.

Echoes of the past blend seamlessly with present-day vibrancy as we paddle into Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market— a revived community space filled with local food, Thai desserts, and handmade crafts.

This trip is a perfect mix of paddle, taste, and cultural discovery— a chance to experience the beauty of Bangkok’s canal-side heritage before heading back with full hearts and delicious souvenirs.

Equipment Rental Fee: 800 THB/person
(This price includes Paddleboarding, Paddle and Life Jacket)

► Bang Krachao | Samut Prakarn - Bangkok Green's Lung
Date: Sun 11 Oct 2026 | 03:30 pm.
Distance: approximately 7 km.

Take a deep breath and paddle into the lush oasis of Bang Krachao, widely known as the “Green Lung of Bangkok.”

Tucked within a bend of the Chao Phraya River, this vast green space offers a refreshing escape from the city. We begin early in the morning, surrounded by soft light and fresh air, gliding through waterways lined with mangroves and lamphu trees. This rich ecosystem not only helps purify the city’s air but also supports a diverse range of wildlife, from birds to aquatic species thriving in harmony.

Along the journey, you’ll experience a striking contrast—massive cargo ships and tugboats moving along the main river set against the calm beauty of greenery and traditional riverside life. Fruit orchards, wooden homes, and quiet walkways reflect a deep connection between people and the water.

Bang Krachao is more than just a natural retreat—it is a living landscape where urban life, industry, and local communities coexist in balance.

This trip is perfect for those looking to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience a different rhythm of life—just minutes from Bangkok, yet a world away.

Equipment Rental Fee: THB 900
(This price includes Paddleboarding, Paddle and Life Jacket)

► Phadung Krung Kasem Canal – Hua Lamphong, Bangkok
Tuesday, 13 Oct 2026 | 06:30 AM
Approx. Distance: 7 km

Bangkok did not begin with highways or skytrains. It began with moats and waterways.

This trip takes you paddling along the historic edge of the old capital, tracing the city’s expansion from the founding of Rattanakosin through the reign of King Rama IV — a pivotal period when Bangkok was growing and opening to the outside world.

We will paddle along Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, a canal excavated during King Rama IV’s reign to expand the royal city. It served both as a defensive moat and a vital transportation route — effectively the “outer city wall.” The canal connects the Chao Phraya River at Thewet in the north and Wat Kaew Fah in the south.

Once the lifeline of the city, today we paddle in the footsteps of that lifeline — almost the entire length of the canal. From water level, you’ll experience Bangkok from a perspective that once served as the city’s “main road.”

Highlights Along the Route
✨ Rama V-era architecture — The period when Bangkok embraced Western influence. Government buildings, historic homes, and urban layouts reflecting a city transitioning into modernity.
✨ Historic temples along the canal — Once community centers and boat stopovers, these temples were deeply woven into everyday life.
✨ Traditional communities in the heart of the city — Wooden houses, old shops, and traces of riverside life that still survive amid today’s metropolis.
✨ Historic markets and trade areas, including the vicinity of Bangkok’s first railway station — marking the transition from the age of waterways to the age of iron rails.

This is more than a SUP or kayak session.
It’s about:
• Paddling along the ancient city boundary
• Seeing former main roads through modern eyes
• Understanding how Bangkok grew from its canals
• Experiencing the capital from a perspective few ever do

From city walls… to canals.
From canals… to railway tracks.
From the past… to the rhythm of your paddle today.

Equipment Rental Fee: 800 THB/person
(Includes Paddleboarding, Paddle and Life Jacket)

► Rayong Blue & Green, From Historic Fishing Village to Ancient Wetland
Date: Saturday & Sunday, 31 Oct - 1 Nov 2026

Some journeys take you to beautiful places. This one helps you understand how nature shapes communities—and how communities help restore nature.

Over two unforgettable days, Pa Pi Pie invites you to explore two of Rayong's most remarkable landscapes, from a historic fishing village at the river mouth to one of Thailand's richest freshwater wetlands.

Saturday Afternon : Prasae Estuary
Historic Fishing Village & Mangrove Forest
Our adventure begins in the afternoon at Prasae Estuary, once one of the most important fishing ports along Thailand's eastern coast.

For generations, hundreds of fishing boats sailed from here into the Gulf of Thailand and beyond to Indonesian waters. The prosperity of those years still lives on through the old wooden houses, traditional market streets, and working fishing boats lining the riverbanks.

Paddling along the peaceful Prasae River, we'll experience the rhythm of a community that continues to live alongside the sea before entering the tranquil mangrove forest.

Towering mangrove trees, mudskippers, fiddler crabs, shorebirds, and countless other species reveal an ecosystem that has gradually recovered thanks to years of conservation led by local communities.

As the afternoon light reflects across the river, you'll discover that Prasae's greatest beauty isn't only its landscape—it's the people whose lives remain deeply connected to the sea.

Sunday Morning : Rayong Botanical Garden
Ancient Wetland & Melaleuca Forest
On the second morning, we'll paddle through Rayong Botanical Garden, home to one of Thailand's finest freshwater wetland ecosystems.

Surrounded by centuries-old Melaleuca forests growing on peat soil, this remarkable landscape supports a unique ecosystem found only in a few places along Thailand's eastern coast.

The highlight is the famous floating grass islands, naturally formed mats of aquatic vegetation that have accumulated over time, creating floating landscapes rarely found elsewhere in the country and serving as indicators of a healthy wetland.

Gliding slowly across calm waters beneath towering trees, accompanied only by birdsong and the gentle breeze, you'll experience a side of Thailand that few travelers ever discover.

Two days.
Two waterways.
From the sea to the forest.
From community to conservation.
A paddle journey that reconnects you with both nature and the stories that flow through it.

Equipment Rental Fee: 2,400 THB/person/trip

Pa Pi Pie Trip : September 2026
(For English, please scroll down)
-----------------------------------

► Mahasawat Canal, Bangkok
Date: Sat 12 September 2026 | 06.30 am.
Distance: approximately 7 km.

The Royal Pilgrimage Waterway to Phra Pathom Chedi
Travel back more than 170 years on one of Thailand's most remarkable historic waterways. Mahasawat Canal was commissioned by King Mongkut (Rama IV) to connect Bangkok Noi with the Tha Chin River, creating a new transportation route and a royal waterway for pilgrimages to the revered Phra Pathom Chedi, a monument deeply connected to the King's devotion to Buddhism.

On this SUP & Kayak journey, Pa Pi Pie invites you to paddle along part of this historic canal—once travelled by royalty, nobles, monks, and local communities long before highways and railways transformed central Thailand.

As you glide through the peaceful canal, you'll discover traditional orchard communities, family farms, wooden houses, and riverside villages that continue to preserve the charm of Thailand's historic "garden landscape." Life here still moves at a slower pace, offering a rare glimpse into a way of living shaped by the water for generations.

One of the canal's unique historical features was the seven rest pavilions built along the route. Constructed approximately every four kilometres, these pavilions offered shelter for travellers and even displayed traditional herbal medicine inscriptions as a public service—an early example of combining infrastructure with public education. Although most of the original pavilions have disappeared, their stories remain woven into the landscape.

This is more than a paddle trip.
It's an opportunity to journey along a royal pilgrimage route, explore the communities that flourished beside it, and experience how canals once connected faith, agriculture, trade, and everyday life across central Thailand.
Join us and rediscover Thailand's history—one paddle stroke at a time.

Price: THB 800 per person
(Includes SUP board, paddle, and life jacket)

► Bang Mod Canal, Bangkok
Date: Sun 13 September 2026 | 06.30 am.
Distance: approximately 6 km.

“Bang Mot Is More Than Oranges” — Paddle Through Old Orchards and a Living Canal

Forget Bangkok’s traffic, concrete and skyscrapers for a while. On this trip, we’ll discover another side of the city — wooden houses, old orchards, narrow canals and a slower way of life shaped by water.

Bang Mot Canal is part of Bangkok’s historic network of waterways that once served as the roads of everyday life, connecting communities, orchards and smaller canals with the Chao Phraya and the wider waterways of the central plains.

Along the canal, traces of the old landscape can still be found — traditional raised-bed orchards, riverside homes, tiny waterways and local shops where boats remain part of everyday life. Although roads, housing developments and expressways have transformed the area, the canal continues to connect people and communities.

Bang Mot was once famous for “Bang Mot oranges,” a local agricultural product that became synonymous with the area. While much of the original orange-growing landscape has disappeared, pockets of orchards and small-scale agriculture still remain. You may also spot traditional fishing practices such as yok yor, a simple lift-net technique used by local residents.

We’ll paddle through a mix of riverside communities, old orchards and hidden canals, discovering a landscape that feels surprisingly rural — despite still being inside Bangkok.

Just a short distance from the city, yet it feels like another world.
Bang Mot isn’t just about oranges.
It’s about waterways, communities, nature — and a Bangkok that is still alive.

Come paddle with us and discover a side of Bangkok you probably never knew existed.

Price: THB 900 per person
(Includes SUP board, paddle, and life jacket)

► Ong Ang - Bang lamphu Canal, Bangkok, Paddling Through the Waterways of Old Bangkok
Date: Saturday, 19 September 2026 | 06.30 AM
Distance: approximately 4.5 km.

The paddle route from Khlong Ong Ang to Khlong Bang Lamphu
is a journey filled with stories of the past—where traces of Bangkok’s old waterways still quietly exist today.

Khlong Ong Ang was once one of the city’s most important water-based trading areas. The canal takes its name from the pottery shops selling large jars and basins
that once lined the water’s edge, visible from afar.

What began as a riverside market gradually evolved into a key commercial community in Bangkok’s old town. The wooden swing bridges that once opened for boats have since been replaced by concrete bridges, marking the city’s transition through time while preserving echoes of its past.

Paddling beneath Phan Fa Bridge feels like turning a page in a history book,
leading us into the Bang Lamphu area. In the past, nearby Phan Thom was known as a craftsmen’s quarter and served as a gateway into Rattanakosin Island.

Khlong Bang Lamphu stands out with its red Mon-style brick embankments,
considered among the most beautiful and well-preserved canal walls in Bangkok.
During the summer months, the canal is framed by rows of blooming flame trees
with vibrant red and orange flowers lining the banks. The gently curving waterway once functioned as both a transportation route and a natural boundary of the old city.

This is a paddle route we truly want everyone to experience—the “canal streets” of historic Bangkok. A journey through water, time, and stories in the heart of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Rattanakosin.

Price: THB 800 per person
(Includes SUP board, paddle, and life jacket)

► Phadung Krung Kasem Canal – Hua Lamphong, Bangkok
Date: Sunday, 20 September 2026 | 03.30 PM
Distance: Approx.

Price: THB 800 per person
