We haven't seen a seahorse for a while so were very excited to find this beautiful Hedgehog Seahorse (Hippocampus spinosissimus) in the muck today!

These Red Algae Hairy Shrimp can be found bobbing around trying to imitate the red algae that it lives on. Their small size and movement can make them a real challenge to capture on camera!

We find a lot of little Filefish on our muck dives. They are quite shy and blend in well to the soft corals that they hide behind. You have to be very patient to get a shot of one of these cuties.

This pretty little sea slug, coming from the family Flabellinidae and often referred to as 'Flabellina', are found all around Koh Tao and we are lucky enough to see them on nearly all our muck dives.
They are found feeding on hydroids growing among rocks and corals in deeper coral reef habitats and on stable substrates such as discarded old nets and rope in the deeper sandy areas.
They are one of the smaller of the sea slugs of Koh Tao, normally measuring just a few millimetres in length. They are easier to spot with a torch so their colour stands out well!

The beautiful Eubranchus rubropunctatus 🥰
We are finding several varieties of Eubranchus in Koh Tao right now, some as small as just 2mm. This one was a little larger, maybe 8-9mm in length - it is sitting on a small wooden BBQ skewer for some reference.
The Eubranchus rubropunctatus has been the most populous in the Eubranchidae family that we have observed so far and wow aren't they just stunning!
We can't wait to get out again to see these beauties again and try to find some others!
