We had an amazing experience with KonTiki Diving Center in Ao Nang, Krabi, and would happily recommend them to anyone visiting the area.
Even before the trip, communication was excellent.
Angela, who we spoke with before arriving, responded clearly and promptly to our questions, explained the booking process well, and made arranging the course and dives easy and reassuring.

My friend came here to complete her Open Water course, while I joined her for the pool work and dives, taking a refresher course. I honestly learned more during the refresher than I had previously, especially around practical skills, safety procedures, and feeling more comfortable and confident underwater. It was a great reminder that a refresher can be much more than simply checking a box when it is taught properly.

Our instructor, Vale, was strict, but in the best possible way. She was very thorough, patient, and serious about safety, making sure every skill was properly understood and completed before moving on.
It never felt like the course was being rushed just to get a certification—she genuinely wanted her students to become confident, capable divers.
My friend felt safe and well supported throughout, and it was clear that Vale held high standards because she truly cared about her students.

The rest of the Kontiki team were equally wonderful: friendly, welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist. Our hotel pick-up was right on time, early even, and everything from arrival to departure was handled smoothly. They created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while still staying professional and organised.

The equipment was well prepared and in good condition, and the team handled the logistics efficiently. Everything was punctual—from briefings and gear preparation to boat departures and dive schedules—which made the experience easy and stress-free. The staff also made sure everyone knew what to expect before each dive and were attentive both in and out of the water.

Overall, it was a memorable experience with great diving, excellent instruction, good equipment, and genuinely warm service. Whether you are taking your first Open Water course, doing a refresher, or joining friends for fun dives, KonTiki Diving Centre is a dive centre you can trust. If you are looking to learn to dive, definitely look for Vale—she is an excellent instructor!
