🏌️‍♂️ LINKS GOLF SOCIETY – NAVY COURSE RESULTS! 🇹🇭⛳️

It was definitely a tough day at the office for the Links Crew yesterday! 😂

On arrival, we could see just how much rain the area has had over the past few weeks. Every waterway and dam was filled right to the brim, and the course was very wet underfoot.

The rough was thick, the fairways were playing very soft, and plenty of balls were finding themselves nicely plugged in the fairways! 😂

And just to make sure we were completely soaked, we copped a good thunderstorm right on the turn! 🌧️⛈️

But, as always, the Links Crew got stuck into it and everyone managed to have a great day out. 🍻🏌️‍♂️

🥇 1st – Mark Smith — 37 points
Playing off 18 handicap

🥈 2nd – Franjo — 35 points
Playing off 3 handicap

🥉 3rd – Mick — 33 points

No one managed to take down the Eagles Nest yesterday, so the jackpot keeps growing!

Very wet underfoot, super humid conditions, and after all the rain we’ve had, the waterways are full and overflowing! 💦🌊

⛳🏆 LINKS GOLF SOCIETY – PATTAVIA RESULTS! 🏆⛳

What a great day out with the Links crew yesterday at Pattavia Golf Club! 🇹🇭🏌️‍♂️

The Links team were super organised yesterday morning, getting everyone sorted and on the buses early — so early in fact that we arrived and got away 30 minutes ahead of schedule! 😂👏

The course was in really good condition, and I reckon all the recent rain has done it the world of good. We had a few thunderclouds rolling around us during the day, but somehow we managed to dodge the rain. 🌩️

And just to prove how lucky we were… the rain started almost as soon as the last group walked off the 18th! Talk about perfect timing! 🌧️😂

🏆 THE RESULTS

🥇 1st – Franjo
Playing off a 3 handicap and scoring 34 points, taking the win on countback! 👏

🥈 2nd – Mark Smith
Playing off 18 and also scoring 34 points, but just missing out on the top spot on countback.

🥉 3rd – Henk Meyers
Playing off 24 and putting together a very respectable 32 points.

⛳ Hole 4 – Kevin Lebar
⛳ Hole 13 – Franjo

But there’s a little story behind those nearest-the-pin wins… 😂

Both Kevin and Franjo may have walked away with the prizes, but they also managed to walk off with a TREE putt on their respective holes, Both scoring a 4/1! 🌳🤣

🦅 THE EAGLE’S NEST SURVIVES AGAIN! 🦅

Nobody could take down the Eagle’s Nest jackpot yesterday, so it keeps growing!

It’s a hot, hot, hot and sticky one out here today! ☀️🥵 The course is a little wet underfoot after the recent rain, but that hasn’t stopped the Links Crew from getting out there and chasing that little white ball around! 😂⛳️

🚨 GOLF CANCELLED – MONDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 🚨

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s game at Eastern Star Golf Club has been CANCELLED.

🌧️ The course is extremely wet and not playable, so after looking at the conditions, we’ve made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s game.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience to everyone who had planned on joining us. Unfortunately, with the course in its current condition, there’s simply no point in sending everyone out for a day of golf when the course isn’t playable.

We really appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience with the weather. 🙏

🏌️‍♂️ But don’t worry — we’ll be back on Wednesday!

We look forward to seeing everybody at Pattavia Golf Club on Wednesday, 30 September for what we hope will be another great day of golf, good laughs and good company.
