The 5th FNB Eswatini Golf Challenge has been officially launched by the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs!

With the tournament set to kick off from August 13–15, 2026 at the Ezulwini Golf and Country Club, this Sunshine Tour event brings elite international golfing royalty straight to our doorstep. More importantly, it gives 15 of our very own local golfers a grand global stage to show the world exactly what they are made of. 🏌️‍♂️🌍

We are immensely proud to note that theEswatini Sport and Recreation Council has been a part of this tournament's DNA since its absolute inception, passionately driving local athletic growth and sporting excellence.

The countdown to greens and glory is officially on!

ESWATINI AWARDED HOSTING RIGHTS:CONTINENTAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS LAUNCH AND LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITEE UNVEILED.

The Kingdom of Eswatini has been awarded the hosting rights for the Upcoming March 2027 Confederation of African Athletics Southern Region Cross Country Championships.

At a media launch held at Equinox Restaurant, the official Local Organizing Committee (LOC) was formally unveiled. The event was attended by the Honorable Minister of Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima, alongside crucial Sport stakeholders and various media houses capturing this major milestone for the country.

Crucially, the launch was also held in the presence of key representatives from the Eswatini Tourism sector, underlining a united national front to merge elite sports with destination marketing.This landmark achievement is a massive win for National Sports development and a major boost for sports tourism, proving that our Kingdom is ready to shine as a premier international event hub.

A TEAM FOR SUCCESS

During his address, the Honorable Minister further stated that they elected the best minds and professionals to make sure that this Championship is a success.

The newly unveiled Local Organizing Committee (LOC)will collaborate closely with Athletics Eswatini - AE and the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) to execute a successful championship.
