Getting to know our players🔥🔥🔥🔥
1. What is your name : Samkeliso Maziya
2. what position are you playing: Middle blocker
3. what made you play that position: I'd say height
4. who pushed you to play it : it wasn't just one individual a couple of guys pushed me to play this position, back in highschool it was Mangaliso Nsingwane(2meter) later it was former Bobcats coach Israel Magugula and Qiniso Mtsetfwa (Zoro) currently it's Musa Detective Msibi,Banele Menzi Ndwandwe and Fortune nerves and mostly import my current coach, coach Themba
5. what attributes are needed in being one of the best in this position: Awareness ,you need to be able to read the opposing team's offence , understand attackers habits and mostly be able to read setters ,So you can get blocks .
6. Quickness, you need to be super fast so that you can be able to move alone the net to get blocks and draw the opposing middle blocker when on offence, everytime you jump to attack the ball they have to jump with you,so every millisecond counts . You Also need to be able to run all of the routes and attack the key zones in that way the other center will always focus on you not the other players in your team in that way they get to have easy attacks .
6. how do you control your teams defence: You control that by reading the opposing team's offence ,and habits ,do they like to attack back court or front court? Does the setter like dunking the ball? If their attackers attack the ball very high , you know that ,this ball or on this attacker we will get the tip so you tell your defense to stay outside and guard the tips. You read all of that and then tell your players where to start on defence
7. how do you run your teams offence: Mostly my setter tells me where to go and when I see that's not working I try by all means to get my best attacker a one on one situation by occupying the opposing middle blocker and yell for the ball to be set to me so he can be convinced that the ball is coming to me ,that will cause him to commit everytime I jump.
8. important of positive energy as a player to your team: positive energy drives the team it gets everyone hyped up ,and they all have faith in you to get that attack, block/tip especially your setter and libero .
9. message to upcoming players: Take care of your bodies , work hard and be smart about it. Discipline will take you very far.Be you play your own game always remember Rome wasn't built in oneday. Lastly not everyone has to understand you...

Sboniso Mjirie Lukhele- surely a beast🔥🔥
1. height 1.89
2. I am an Outside attacker(power hiter) bt specialize most on passing
3. I've been playing power hitter ever since i played professional so i can say it is an interesting position
4. Playing as a middle blocker is difficult because its a must for you to jump when the ball is being attacked and you always have to be quick when its time for us to attack n make sure u jump
5. Being a team player is most important for you to know that everything you do is for the team. Communication is key in such a way that without it you can never be a team .
6. We play quick tempo and we always play for each other if in a way that when ever i am down the guys make sure they support me to get back to the game
7. Eswatini Royal warriors and Zimbabwe UZ wolfs
8. Tairo,that guy was good
9. Banele Ndwandwe and Trevor Sibanda
10. Bongokuhle Bhawu Mlipha one player thats always making noise n one thing his at he doesn't wanna listen
11. Volleyball is a team sport it needs for you to be good in communication. Train hard make sure you push beyond your limits n most important be teachable you will never be good in this sport put that in mind when ever yo feel like u know VB thats your biggest downfall.

Beketele Priska Mdluli - the golden hand
1. Height 1.65m
2. what position are you playing:I’m playing power / outside hitter
3. in all the positions you have played which one is more interesting:
I've always been a power hitter and it's interesting because you are involved in most part of the game. You can't just hit. You have to do 6 things well.
4. which one is more difficult and why:
Setter role because you are the brain of the team and your decision making is crucial .
Has to connect with 3-4 different attackers
Also gets blamed a lot.
5. what is your strongest attribute as a player: Always ready for off system play, quite but coachable... less drama🫣.passing and power
6. tell us more on how your team plays, their strongest points:Fast offense with combination plays and aggressive serve.
7. strongest team opponent you have faced since joining sunrise: None so far, I haven't played a full match where I felt truly tested.
I'm looking forward to that challenge .
8. strongest player you have faced: honestly still non..yes I've been learning from certain players but strongest is not the word I would use.
9. favourite players (2) in your team: Temcebo Dlamini (Ntwana) and Ncobile Dladla (Dee)
10. most irritating teammate and why:
one who doesn't play for the next person. Volleyball is a team sport if you only think about yourself and not about setting up your team mate, it breaks the whole system
11. words of encouragement to the young ones: Recognise the power of consistency , just show up..refuse to lose , motivation comes and go so have standards. Standards get you to keep going when no one is watching.✌️
