Media Release – Demise of Our Manager Thokozani Nkhambule

2. We are heartbroken to announce that our Manager Thokozani “Gasolo” Nkhambule has passed on. We, like all Internash Family, are shocked and saddened by this terrible news.

3. We have been robbed one of the most humble, passionate person as Internash and
his role will never be filled by anyone.
4. We are confident and take comfort in the fact that he passed away knowing how much he was loved and admired by his family, the club, and the entire community.
5. May Nkhambule and the Dlamini Families, friends, relatives, and the entire community are in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy.

Update on Post Accident Initiatives towards Supporting Players

1. The statement refers to above.
2. LaMgabhi Young Internationals FC would like to inform all stakeholders that Management has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure players welfare post the accident remains a top priority.

a. Management has continuously checked on players on a daily basis and supported their most critical needs like financial assistance to hospitals for check-ups, medication and state of mind.
b. Management has continued to engage parents (not all of them as this is a matter you cannot report over the phone) and will continue to visit all parents and families by end of the week to report on the unfortunate incident. The reason for not achieving 100% families’ visits is the fact that we prioritized getting the players stable and emotionally ok with a lot of ups and downs.

3. We wish to update that the players and officials had a 1st session with a Professional Psychotherapist, Mr Siyabonga Mabuza. The session was held from 2pm until 5pm on the 21st October 2025 and we await the report from Mr. Mabuza in terms of his assessment.
