Arrival of Al-Hurriya Club Delegation in Mundri

A high-level delegation from Al-Hurriya Club arrived in Mundri this morning from Juba to participate in the 2025/26 Season Awards Ceremony organized by the Mundri Sub-Local Football Association.

The delegation was warmly received at Mundri Airport by a large number of sports stakeholders, led by the President of the Mundri Sub-Local Football Association, Stephen Ernesto, alongside members of the Association’s Executive Committee.

Also present were board members of Five Stars FC, the club’s Head Coach David Yaka, officials from Ngulawa United FC, as well as players and supporters from both clubs.

The delegation includes Al-Hurriya Club President Dr. Joseph Monday, Secretary James Victor, and Club Advisor Professor Wani Anthony.

The visit comes as part of the celebrations marking Five Stars FC’s successful defense of the Mundri First Division League title, securing the championship for the third consecutive season, as well as participation in the annual season awards festival.

Five Stars FC were crowned champions of the Mundri First Division League for the third year in a row, while Wiroh FC claimed the title of the Mundri Second Division League.

The 2025/26 Season Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Wednesday, and will feature an exhibition match between Five Stars FC and Wiroh FC.

Several distinguished sports personalities are also expected to be honored during the event.

The delegation’s visit will last for one week and will include a number of meetings before returning to Juba.

Upon arrival, the delegation checked in at HP Hotel.

Notably, Five Stars FC was founded in 2019 by Dr. Joseph Monday, President of Al-Hurriya Club.
