One of the main objectives of SDC is to introduce skill training to both rural and urban poor populations without formal schooling to further their participation in economic and social life, and in general their full integration in the country's development. SDC is designed to focus on enhancement of youth leadership development and empowerment, SDC strives to unite Somali youth in order to explore and establish a platform for dialogue in relation to issues of relevance to the Somali youth and to address the importance of social integration and positive contribution to the wider Somali society. Additionally, SDC aims to collaborate with local and international organizations for capacity building and performance appraisal of its staff.
