Joseph “Zappa” Kamara has been an important member of the Kholifa Stars family, and today we are delighted to celebrate not only his contribution on the football pitch but also this wonderful new chapter of his life.

KHOLIFA STARS FC MOURNS THE PASSING OF A DEVOTED FRIEND, DRIVER AND SUPPORTER

The Management, players, technical team, and supporters of Kholifa Stars Football Club have joined family members, friends, and the wider football community in paying their final respects to the late Abdul Bangura, popularly known as “Adebayor,” whose burial ceremony was successfully held in his hometown of Manorkoh, P**i Masabong Chiefdom in Bombali district.

The late Abdul Bangura was more than just a public transport driver. He was a dedicated friend, committed supporter, and an important part of the Kholifa Stars family, particularly whenever the team travelled outside Magburaka for away matches.

He was always willing and available to transport the team, ensuring that players and officials could travel safely and comfortably to fulfil their footballing commitments. Most recently, he transported Kholifa Stars FC to Port Loko, where he remained with the team throughout the National Division One Playoffs.

His commitment to football extended beyond Kholifa Stars FC. Abdul was also widely known for providing transportation services to football clubs across Tonkolili District, including Golden Dragons Football Club, one of Kholifa Stars' closest competitors.

His dedication to football, regardless of the club involved, demonstrated his passion for the game and his willingness to contribute to the development of football in the district.

The strong presence of Kholifa Stars FC players, management, and supporters, alongside members of other football clubs including Golden Dragons FC, at his burial ceremony was a fitting demonstration of the respect and appreciation he earned within the football family.

Abdul Bangura (Adebayor) will be remembered not merely as a driver, but as a dependable football companion who consistently stood behind the teams he transported.

Kholifa Stars FC extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who mourn his passing.

May God grant the family strength and comfort during this difficult time.
