In 1943, Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Emile Gagnan revolutionized underwater exploration with the invention of the Aqua Lung. Facing a shortage of automobile gas in war-torn Paris, Gagnan innovated a demand regulator to control the flow of gas to car engines, making it last longer. Cousteau realized this device’s potential underwater and transformed this regulator into a compact and reliable air supply system. This gave divers the freedom to explore the ocean longer without being tied to the surface for air.

Cousteau and Gagnan’s Aqua Lung opened a whole new world underneath the waves, inventing scuba diving as we know it today! 🌊🐠

Dr. Miroslav Rozložník je environmentálny fyziológ a učiteľ hyperbarickej medicíny a fyziológie potápania na Lekárskej fakulte Ostravskej univerzity v Českej republike s viac ako 20-ročnými skúsenosťami s výskumom pod vodou. Zúčastnil niekoľkých potápačských výskumných expedícií vrátane expedície UnderThePole II, hĺbkovej potápačskej expedície nad polárnym kruhom v Grónsku. Od roku 2020 je zapojený do projektu Hydronaut ako hlavný vedecký pracovník a ako analógový astronaut – Aquanaut. Dr. Rozložník je tiež oblastným riaditeľom DAN Europe pre Slovensko a majiteľom potápačskej školy Mironaut.

Dr. Miroslav Rozloznik is an environmental physiologist and teacher of hyperbaric medicine and diving physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ostrava, Czechia with more than 20 years of experience in doing research underwater. He participated in several diving research expeditions including the UnderThePole II expedition, a deep-diving expedition above the polar circle in Greenland. Since 2020 Dr. Rozloznik has been involved in the Hydronaut Project, as a Chief Scientific Officer and as an analog astronaut – Aquanaut. Dr. Rozloznik is also the DAN Europe area director for Slovakia and the owner of Mironaut diving school.

Začína jeseň, ideálny čas na vzdelávanie sa. Nečakaj na " čo keď ", ale buď PRIPRAVENÝ na "čo keď".
