Iaido Seminar - 05.-07.06.2026 - Lucca, Italy
The historic town of Lucca welcomed Iaidoka from multiple countries and enabled us to work hard under the lead of Ishido Kotaro sensei.
Friday: Muso Shinden Ryu Keiko of selected kata to work on various technical details
Saturday: Deep dive into the ZNKR kata, their chakuganten and a better understanding what and how should be judged from the perspective of taikai shinpan and grading panelists
Sunday: The morning practice split into a koryu and ZNKR group, the afternoon split into a shiai and standard practice group
The amount of input received form Ishido Kotaro sensei and the amazing assisting teachers was enormous.
Many thanks to all sensei, participants and last but not least the organizers 🙂
Best regards

13th Tomodachi no Iaido Keiko - 13.-15.02.2026 Kosice, Slovakia
Traditionally non-traditional, the main theme of this event remains the same. We practiced, we learned, we had a lot of fun and worked together to improve.
We wrote history by organizing the first ever Iaido Yondan gradings in the Slovak Kendo Federation.
What more could you ask for? 🙂
Many thanks to all who made this possible, all the teachers who have shared their knowledge and experience:
Andy Watson sensei
Gábor Hábermajer sensei
Lukasz Machura sensei
Michal Szczepanski sensei
Michal Kolisek sensei
Pavel Balvin sensei
May thank to all participant who with their presence made the event the biggest Tomodachi no Iaido keiko in Košice till now.
Many thanks to all dojo members of Shin Junsui Dojo for their hard work during the 3 days, keeping everting silky smooth from the organizational point of view 😉
And of course congratulations to all successful grading candidates, your hard work paid off. 🎉
The main idea of the Tomodachi no Iaido Keiko from the beginning was
friendship - cooperation - community,
these basic values should shape who we are and how we live not just our Budo lives.
I’m grateful for all of you who share this way of thinking and support the event for many years.
Looking forward to seeing you next year in Košice for the 14th Tomodachi no Iaido Keiko 2027.
Best regards
