Official Statement on the Cancellation of the ECA Junior Slalom Cup Final Bratislava 2026

The 2026 PEU Junior Slalom Cup is underway!

The opening stage of the circuit took place in Ivrea, Italy, with two exciting days of racing on the Dora Baltea River, hosted by Ivrea Canoa Club.

Young paddlers from several nations competed across K1 and C1 categories, from U14 to U23, showing once again the importance of this circuit for the development of the next generation of canoe slalom athletes.

Italy, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia and Switzerland were among the nations celebrating victories in Ivrea, with many close races and strong performances across the programme.

After the opening round in Italy, the PEU Junior Slalom Cup continues its journey. Paddle Europe is still awaiting the official results from Cup II that took place in Valstagna, Italy, which will be shared once confirmed.

This weekend, all attention turns to Flattach, Austria, for another exciting stage of the 2026 PEU Junior Slalom Cup!

The grand finale of the junior series at the Water Sports Centre in Čunovo attracted Europe’s top youth athletes, including bronze Olympic medallist Matej Beňuš 💪🏼

The largest event in the history of the ECA Junior Slalom Cup recorded a staggering 1,254 starts over the past weekend. 💥

Finále Európskeho pohára juniorov v Bratislave lámalo rekordy | Slovenská Kanoistika Vyvrcholenie juniorskej série v Areáli vodných športov v Čunove si nenechala ujsť  európska mládežnícka špička, vrátane čerstvých juniorských majstrov Európy Dominika Egyházyho a Karolíny Abrahámovej. Na podujatí sa predstavil aj bronzový olympijský medailista Matej Beňuš.
