Seven days. Seven thresholds. One journey back to yourself.

What happens when you step away from the familiar rhythm of everyday life and allow your body, creativity and senses to lead?

From September 11–18, 2026, we will gather in Ubud for Bali Embodied—a seven-day immersion into movement, culture, ritual, creativity and meaningful human connection.

This is not a retreat where every moment must be filled.
It is a carefully held journey with enough depth to transform you and enough spaciousness for you to follow your own rhythm.
We begin by arriving.

Not only in Bali, but inside the body.

Through gentle movement, ceremony and a shared welcome dinner, we slowly leave the noise and speed of the outside world behind.

From there, the journey unfolds through seven experiential thresholds:

INTO THE BODY
A gentle descent into presence, connection and embodied awareness.

EXPRESSION & EXPLORATION
Somatic practices, creativity, masks, mythology and the extraordinary visual world of Balinese dance.

CONNECTION
Movement, community and archetypal embodiment—deepening the relationship with ourselves, with others and with the living environment around us.

ENCOUNTER — CULTURE & SPIRIT
A traditional Balinese purification ceremony, intimate cultural encounters and direct immersion in movement, ritual and living tradition.

ACTIVATION
Entering the transformative energy of fire, rhythm and elemental intensity.

INTEGRATION
Tea ceremony, restorative sound healing, journaling, silence, natural water, sauna and fire—allowing everything experienced to settle into meaning.

CREATION
Giving form to what has shifted, opened or awakened within.

You may create a movement piece, a drawing, a story, a song, a personal ritual.

Not to perform.Not to impress.

But to express what has become alive inside you.

Throughout the week, we will experience carefully selected places, nourishing food, atmospheric garden spaces, traditional and contemporary performances, yoga, movement practices and moments of genuine encounter with Balinese culture.

There will also be space to rest, to wander and to journal.
Because embodiment is not about following every instruction. It is about learning to hear what is true for you.

Bali Embodied is an invitation to arrive with curiosity and leave carrying something that cannot be placed inside a suitcase: a deeper relationship with your body, your creativity and the life that wants to move through you.

🌿 September 11–18, 2026📍 Ubud, Bali

Not all journeys are measured in distance.

Some are measured in presence, connection, transformation —
and in how deeply we allow a place to change the way we relate to life and to one another.

This September, EMBODIED BALI
invites you into a carefully curated seven-day immersion through movement, culture, ritual, nature and human connection in Ubud.

Together with some of Bali’s most profound local facilitators, we will encounter practices they have developed through
a deep fusion of Balinese tradition and contemporary approaches to dance — spaces where movement meets healing, spirituality, creativity and cultural immersion.

But EMBODIED BALI is not simply an invitation to experience more.
It is an invitation to experience differently.

There is a great difference between visiting a culture and entering into a relationship with it.
Between consuming its beauty, spirituality and hospitality — and becoming more aware of the people, work, traditions and invisible relationships that make our experience possible.

We do not want Bali to become a beautiful background for another retreat.

We want to meet the island as a living culture.

To slow down enough to listen.
To learn from the people who carry its traditions.
To recognize the value of their knowledge and work.
And to ask not only what we can receive from Bali,
but how we can participate without diminishing those who sustain it.

This is one of the central values behind Synergy Bali, the Bali-based company we created six months ago and the new home of EMBODIED BALI.

We believe that meaningful retreats should be built through reciprocity, fair exchange, cultural sensitivity and genuine collaboration with local people — not around them.

I’m launching something new in Bali.
SYNERGY Bali — Retreat & Event Production Partner
https://www.synergybali.com/

After two decades of leading retreats, trainings, festivals, venues, cultural projects, and transformational work internationally, I moved to Bali after 10 years of coming here regularly.

I arrived with a lot of vision.
And very quickly, also with some very real lessons.

One of the biggest lessons was this:
A beautiful retreat idea is not enough.
Bali has its own reality.

You need the right structure.
The right venue.
The right permits.
The right local coordination.
The right cultural sensitivity.
The right supplier flow.
The right visa and work-permit pathway.

And the right people around you before you publicly announce dates, invite participants, or start collecting payments.

I learned some of this the hard way.

At one point, because I did not have the right information and structure in place early enough, I found myself in a very serious immigration situation — one that could have created real consequences for me and my family.

That experience changed the way I look at retreats in Bali.
Not with fear.
But with much more respect, clarity, and responsibility.

And that is why I created SYNERGY Bali.
SYNERGY was born from my own experience — from the mistakes I do not want other retreat leaders to repeat, and from the understanding that Bali retreats need both inspiration and proper structure.

It is now being developed through our Bali-based company structure, together with trusted local professionals, venues, agencies, cultural contributors, suppliers, and licensed Indonesian partners where needed.

I know the world of retreat leaders because I am one.
I know what it means to create a retreat flow, hold a group, guide a transformational process, create a safe container, and care deeply about the experience people receive.

I also know how overwhelming the logistics can become: finding the right venue, coordinating airport pickups, managing rooms and dietary needs, organizing local activities, communicating with venues and suppliers, and holding a hundred small details behind the scenes.

It all adds up fast.

And I also know the production side.
Over the years, I have produced retreats, events, international festivals, venues, academies, professional tours across 23 countries, and multiple entrepreneurial projects.

SYNERGY brings these worlds together.

It is a Bali-based retreat and event production partner for international retreat leaders, facilitators, coaches, educators, wellness professionals, and conscious brands who want to bring their group, community, or tribe to Bali — without carrying the operational complexity alone.

You bring the vision, the participants, and the transformational work.

SYNERGY helps coordinate the Bali side:
venue communication, retreat planning structure, local supplier flow, cultural and educational programming, production support, and early coordination with trusted licensed Indonesian visa/legal partners.

This is not a travel agency.
It is not a visa agency.
And it is not a generic retreat package.

SYNERGY helps retreat leaders create something grounded, respectful, and professionally supported.

If you are planning to host a retreat in Bali — or you know a facilitator, coach, healer, teacher, or retreat leader who is dreaming about it — I would love to connect.

You lead the transformation.
We handle the Bali production

EMBODIED BALI IS NOT BUILT AROUND CONSUMING EXPERIENCES.

IT IS DESIGNED AROUND EMBODIMENT.

Instead of rushing from location to location, from workshop to workshop, we move through carefully selected spaces, practices and encounters that gradually open deeper layers of sensation, awareness, receptivity and presence within you.

As your senses become more attuned and your body more receptive, Bali begins revealing itself differently.

Not only as a destination to explore outwardly, but as a living environment that begins resonating with your inner world.

The landscapes. The ceremonies. The sounds. The movement. The atmosphere.

Many people arrive in Bali exhausted, overstimulated,
disconnected from their bodies, creativity, emotions or inner vitality.

Embodied Bali invites a different rhythm.

This is not transformation through force.
It is transformation through presence.

This immersion may be especially supportive for you if :
*You long for authentic experiences beyond tourism
*You wish to feel more connected with your body, creativity or vitality
*You love movement, embodiment or conscious dance
*You feel drawn toward Bali’s spiritual and artistic culture
*You are curious about ritual, creativity and self-expression
*You value atmosphere, beauty and intentional curation
*You want to experience Bali through the body, not only the mind

No dance background is required. Only openness.

Early Bird places are now open for the first 3 participants.

When I was in my early twenties, I once visited an astrologer out of pure curiosity. I still remember something he told me. He said something like: “Dancers somehow like to torture themselves, because there is a high endurance of pain needed, and a lot of discipline and practice, before they arrive at the stage where they simply enjoy it.”

At that time, I probably smiled, because I recognized the truth in it. I was also kind of proud (secretly) about myself, us, our way of life…

Dancers have a very specific relationship with pain. We do not necessarily romanticize it, although sometimes the culture around dance does. But we know pain. We know the threshold of pain. We know the difference between pain that is dangerous and pain that is transforming. We know the discipline of returning to the studio when the body is tired, of repeating one movement until it becomes effortless, of falling and standing up again, of training muscles, fascia, breath, attention, coordination, expression, and presence, until something that was once impossible becomes natural.

And then, if we are lucky, one day we arrive to the place where the effort disappears.

The body opens.
The movement carries us.
The pain becomes power.
The discipline becomes freedom.
The practice becomes joy.

Only now, after everything we have lived through as parents, as a family, as artists, as healers, as people walking between countries, systems, grief, financial instability, children’s needs, dreams, responsibilities, and our own nervous systems, I understand that dance was not only preparing me for the stage.

It was preparing me for life.
It was preparing me to survive.
It was preparing me to stay sane when life became too much.
It was preparing me to keep moving when I could not yet see the next step.

This is also why we created Embodied Bali — a 7-day immersion where movement becomes a way back to your body, your joy, your strength, and your inner freedom.

Embodying Astrology: Archetypes in Motion is a visual somatic guide for exploring astrological signs through the body, movement, space, time, and elemental qualities.

Rather than treating astrology as fixed personality descriptions, this PDF invites you to experience each sign as a living archetype — something that can be felt, danced, observed, and transformed.

Inside you’ll find:

• the story behind the practice
• five embodiment layers for each sign
• beautifully designed astrology movement charts
• improvisation scores for personal or group practice
• reflection questions and facilitation prompts

Created by Sandra Anais, this guide is for movers, facilitators, dancers, astrologers, somatic practitioners, and anyone curious about astrology as an embodied experience.

For those of us working in embodiment, retreats, healing, movement, facilitation or transformational spaces…

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on how much wisdom lives in the body before it ever becomes language.

For years, many of us have been trying to explain something that is not easy to explain:
That the body is not only something to calm, stretch, discipline or regulate.

It is imagination. Emotion. Instinct. Creativity. Relationship. Memory. Wildness. Intelligence.

In my recent movement sessions, we explored archetypal embodiment — dancing qualities connected to the elements, and states such as fear, stress, stagnation, transformation and integration.

What touched me deeply was how clearly people could express and “read” these states through movement.

Not professional dancers.
Not performers.
Just people willing to move, breathe, listen and enter direct experience.

Someone would move a quality, and the group could immediately sense something: fear, collapse, rage, softness, confusion, focus, rebirth, self-care.

It reminded me again that embodiment is also a training of intuition.

A way of sensing another human being beyond words — through presence, rhythm, tension, breath, focus, expansion, contraction, stillness.

This is why in my and Goran's work we often return to a simple principle:
DANCE FIRST. TALK LATER.

First live it.
Move it.
Try it.
Experience it.
Only afterwards reflect.

Because sometimes too much talking before experience closes the door to direct perception.

And this is also what I find so important in retreat and embodiment spaces today: not more performance, not more concepts, not more spiritual language — but safe, grounded containers where the nervous system can soften enough for something real to emerge.

A structure that gives enough safety for freedom to become honest.

A space where people can metabolize what they carry, not by analyzing it endlessly, but by giving it time, attention, movement and breath.

I wrote more about this in my latest Substack article, “For Those Who Lived First and Explained Later.”

You can read the full article here:
https://open.substack.com/pub/sandraanais/p/for-those-who-lived-first-and-explained?r=1cev55&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

And if you feel called to experience a taste of this movement practice in a deeper setting, we will also bring this approach into:

Embodied Bali
11–18 September 2026
Ubud, Bali
Small group · personal atmosphere · application-based

A 7-day movement & cultural immersion where we weave embodiment, archetypal movement, Balinese cultural encounters, ritual, nature and deep sensory presence.
